Julie, and Connie both wake up. "Guys we need to get packed. We leave for Cali in an hour, " I say. "I'm already packed, " Connie says. "We have to go by your house and get it though, " Julie says. We all grab our stuff and start walking to Connie's. When we get there we grab her stuff. Her Mom drives us to the airport. We say goodbye and get out. We go inside to find a quarter of our team. "Hey guys, " I say sitting down next to Adam. "Hey, " they all reply sleepily. Everyone else arrives shortly. We all get on our plane. I'm sitting in between Fulton and Adam. "Way? I'm scared, " Fulton says. I grab his and Adam's hands. They both hate flying. "Thanks, " they both whisper. I just squeeze their hands in response. After take-off, Fulton ends up falling asleep. Adam falls asleep right after Fulton. I read, listen to music, but despite my efforts fall asleep with my head on Adam. "Waylon, you gotta wake up, " I hear a voice say. I sit up groggily. "Are we there?" I ask. Adam nods his head in response. We get up and leave the plane. We all grab our bags. "I'm so tired, " Kenny says as we walk to our car. "Me too, " I say throwing my arm around his shoulders. He just leans into me. "He's got bad jetlag, " Dwayne says from Kenny's other side. "Yep, " I say pulling the shorter boy along. We finally make it to the cars. I get unto one with Adam, Dean, Julie, Connie, Guy, and my dad. I lean against Adam. "You okay?" he asks. "Yeah, but I wanna go to sleep, " I say looking up at him. He just chuckles. We make it to the athlete's dorms. I feel like the boys are staring at me, Julie, and Connie. I just shake it off. I get to my room that I share with the girls. I change into Adam's hoodie and some shorts. As soon as my head hits the pillow I'm out like a light.
