"I thank God for the blessing I have received."

Y/N's POV

"This is the Volleyball court. The laboratory is much farther from here."

Hearing a familiar male voice, I could feel my cheek burning red.

I realize now that I am lost again.

"Eh- Really?! Sorry about that. I was with my friend and suddenly got split up from the crowd. So I got a bit lost."

I answered truthfully as I'm playing with my fingers.

After finishing my exclaim, I slightly bowed down apologetic while trying to hide my embarrassment.

"Y/N. This is the third time this week. Be more careful. Who knows when you will be asking for help from getting lost or injured."

He lectures me nonchalantly.

Again.

'It's hard to follow when you bluntly rephrase them.'

I thought amusedly before reassuring him.

"I know, Ushijima-senpai. I might have a huge disadvantage compared to you. But I could live just fine in this school. Our school is a mighty white eagle after all."

I smiled before I started slightly swinging my cane.

I could feel Ushijima staring at me then he decided to speak.

"You know our school is a building, right?"

He asked as I tried to contain my laughter.

As always, he took the figurative speech too literally.

"Ushijima-senpai, you need to increase your social skills. I feel so sorry for you."

I told him before whipping some tears from holding my laughter.

"... Alright. And as always, I'll help you get back to your class."

Having the same unaffected stoic, he grabbed my hand in which we began to walk together.

I smiled.

With that, I suddenly remembered our first encounter.

It was nothing special, I'm sure.

We were just strangers minding our respective world.

The top ace volleyball player and a blind girl who is two years younger than him.

Coincidentally met in a normal situation.

When I think about it...

Could I even say it was normal to meet a blind underclassman out of the blue?

-

"Y/N! Are you okay? You didn't get hurt, right?"

I could hear my friend worried about me in which she checks every part of my body.

From her tone, I could tell she was worried sick for me.

I smiled reassuringly before lifting both my hands then I caressed her cheek gently.

"I'm fine, Ava. Don't worry about it. I'm not dying."

From what I heard, she sighed in relief and walked her way to my right.

"Thank you, Ushijima-senpai. She was known as a troublemaker back in middle school too."

"No. It's fine actually. Excuse me, I need to get back to practice."
