Flashback

It was around 7pm, Castiel and Dean were sitting on the back of the impala, just chatting and wrapping up Dean. The hunt they had just finished was a hard one, both boys had gotten out alright, but not without minor injuries.

"You need to be more careful, Dean." Cas said as he continued to wrap up Dean's hand.

"We're you worried about me?" Dean asked.

"Of course I was. I care about you.." Cas replied shyly.

"I care about you too, Cas.. Thanks for patching me up." Dean said as Cas finished wrapping up his arm.

"You're welcome, Dean." Cas smiled. The two boys sat in silence for a second, just both in their thought.

"You know, I don't understand why you choose to follow me around instead of being something cool. Like a Russian spy or something" Dean spoke, interrupting the silence.

"I have-"

"You have a orders, but why not just forget about orders and go do what you want. You wouldn't have to clean up after me" Dean suggested, he didn't want Cas to leave but he didn't want Cas to be unhappy. Cas just looked at Dean, not saying anything.

"Unless you like cleaning up after me" Dean said jokingly.

Another Flashback

Dean was laying in a motel bed, holding an ice pack to his head while Cas sat next to him trying to make sure he's okay. Sam was doing research on his own bed.

"Are you alright, Dean?" Cas asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I think I just have a concussion" Dean replied.

"You think? You hit your head off of that tombstone really hard" Sam commented looking up from his laptop towards the other two.

"Did you finish the ritual after I got flung into the tombstone?" Dean asked ignoring Sam's comment.

"I didn't need to, I knew what we were hunting already" Sam replied.

"What are we hunting then?" Cas asked.

Sam was about to answer till his phone rang, he pulled it out an answered.

"Hello? Give me a second" He took his ear away from the phone. "I'll be back" Sam said as he went outside.

Cas turned his attention back to Dean, who was laying on the bed with his eyes closed.

"Are you sure you're alright, Dean?" Cas asked again.

"Yeah, I'm sure. A concussion isn't going to kill me." Dean replied.

"You need to be careful, Dean. You could've been killed if you had it the tombstone harder" Cas scolded his friend. Dean chuckled, confusing Cas, was pain supposed to be funny?

"I still don't get it, Cas" Dean sits up. "Why do you choose to follow me around and make sure I'm okay? You could be a hot nurse or something if you really wanted to!"

Cas didn't even try to say 'I have orders' he already knew how that was going to go.

"I don't know. I just chose to watch over you instead of doing what I want." Cas answered.
