Thomas is pretending to be unconscious. Gally's buddies throw him to the ground in front of the maze doors while Gally's other buddy holds Teresa and me hostage.
"This is such a waste." Gally scoffs.
"Gally." Winston says worriedly. I could tell he doesn't wanna do this.
"It doesn't feel right, man." he says to Gally.
"Yeah. Maybe Thomas is right. Maybe he can lead us home." Jeff says agreeing with Winston.
"We are home. Okay? I don't wanna have to cross any more names off that wall." Gally reassures them.
"You really think banishing us is gonna solve anything?" I ask him in an annoyed tone.
"No. But this isn't a banishing. It's an offering." Gally says grimly.
"What--? Wait. Gally! What are you doing?!" Teresa asks in fear while Gally's buddy ties her to a pole and he ties me to a pole.
"Do you really think I'm gonna let Thomas back into the maze after what he's done?! And you too, Jacqui! Look around you! Look at our Glade! This the only way. And when the Grievers get what they came here for...everything goes back to the way it was." Gally says. He sounds so ridiculous right now.
"Are you guys listening to this right now?!" I ask the other Gladers, hoping for backup.
"Yeah, why are you all just standing there? He's crazy!" Teresa says, agreeing with me.
"You both shut up." Gally orders us.
"If you all stay here, the Grievers are gonna come back." Teresa says.
"They're gonna come back and they're gonna keep coming back until you're all dead!" I say, trying to get through the other Gladers that Gally convinced to be on his side.
"I said both of you shut up! Tie him up. Do you hear me?! I said tie him up!!!" Gally says to us and then orders his buddies.
As Gally's buddies lift up Thomas, he wakes up from faking unconscious and punches Gally's buddies. Newt grabs a sword and hits of them in the head which knocks him out. Frypan uses a knife to cut the ropes that tied me and Teresa to the poles. He also gives Teresa a sword. He hands me one as well. Even though I'm not a fighter, I still decided to use it. In case there is danger. Chuck comes with poles.
"You're full of surprises, aren't you?" Gally says to Thomas in defeat.
"You don't have to come with us, but we are leaving. Anyone who wants to come with us, now's your last chance!" Thomas says to Gally and the other Gladers.
"Don't listen to him, he's just trying to scare you." Gally tells the Gladers, trying to keep them on his side.
"No, I'm not trying to scare you. You're already scared. All right, I'm scared. But I'd rather risk my life out there than spend the rest of it in here. We don't belong here. Okay, this place isn't our home. We were put here. Okay, we were trapped here. But at least out there we have a choice. We can make it out of here. I know that." Thomas says, trying to convince Gally and the other Gladers.
"Yeah, Gally. Remember I told you if we all stick together as a team, we can overcome this. Like I said what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I say and I remember a song that goes with that. I sigh and a sing a verse of it.
"You think you got the best of me
Think you had the last laugh
Bet you think that everything good is gone
Think you left me broken down
Think that I'd come running back
Baby you don't know me, 'cause you're dead wrong
