Chapter 29

I stood and looked at Ink as he questioned why I wanted to talk to him. "Well..." I looked around at Dreams living room, then sighed opening a portal. I walked threw it and was on top of the waterfall, over looking the edge once again. Ink followed me threw my portal and looked around at the waterfall, "What are we doing here Error?" I stood on the edge and looked down the waterfall, watching the water rush to the edge and lead to nothing. "Ink..." I didn't look at him, still watching the waterfall. "Why...Why..." I thought about the time he saved my life, "Why..." I clenched my head, "Why do you help me?" I turned around to look at him, "Why are you always so nice to me? when I have done so many bad things..." I looked away from Ink as I frowned, Ink walked up to in front of me. "Error..." I felt tears in my eyes start to form, "Why did you save me?" I looked him strait in the eyes, Ink was frowning as he looked around. "You know Error....I never wanted to fight you...I have always wanted to be nice to you..." I stopped and was just looking at him, "But....I..." I turned around and looked at the edge again, "The thing is...why? Why would you go threw so much trouble just to make me a better person...when you and everyone else could have been done with it...I could have been gone with no problem...but...you saved me.." I looked down the waterfall again, "Error..." Ink came up next to me, hugging me from the side as he looked down the waterfall. "I only do what is best for you...and I have always tried to make you a better person so you didn't kill yourself from the inside like the rest of the bad guys do...I have seen how Nightmare treats his so called 'Friends' and I didn't want you to end up like that...I have always just wanted to see you happy Error..." I felt my eyes widen as I look at Ink, who had a warm smile towards me. "You...do you really mean all of that Ink?" Ink hugged me tighter and giggled, "Of course I do silly!" Ink playfully punched my good arm as he laughed, "Okay...also.." I looked away from Ink again, "Do...Do you really think I could be...good..?" I felt sweat roll down the side of my skull as I asked him that, Ink nodded his head. "Yeah of course, Anybody can be good if they really want to be..." I sighed as I looked down the waterfall still, "But...Why is it so hard for me to be good? Every time I try I always mess everything up..." Ink frowned and thought for a moment, "Well you have to remember Error you were a bad guy for so long...and it takes a lot of work to turn from bad to good..." I looked at him, he was giving me a small smile. "I...I know...I just..." I thought about (Y/N), "I just don't get it..." I sat down on the edge and looked out at the darkness, "What do you mean?" I looked at Ink, he seemed confused. "Well...you see...I am so nice when (Y/N) is around...but when she's not I get confused and irritated at everything and everyone...and I have so much trouble being nice without her being with me..." I looked away again, "I don't get how you can...be nice to everyone you meet... It's hard..." Ink seemed to be thinking about an answer, "Hmm..." Ink sat down next to me, giving me a smile. "Well you are being nice right now right?" I stopped and glanced over at him, he was smiling at me. "I...I.." I was just looking at him, I made a small smile. "I guess your right..." Ink made a small chuckle, "See Error! You don't have to try to be nice just be yourself." I was just looking at him, "Just...be myself..?" I thought for a moment as I realized something, "Wait.." I thought about all the times me and (Y/N) has talked or hung out together. "I..I know how to do that...I think..." I looked at Ink, who still had a big smile on his face. "Now that's a good start! Just talk to others the way you have been talking to me." I was just looking at him, "I...Yeah...Yeah okay...I can do that..." I looked away as I thought, "T...." I looked back at Ink, "T..Thanks...Ink..." I gave him a smile, Ink was just looking at me. "You know Error...I don't think I have ever seen you smile like that towards me before.." I stopped and was looking at him, "Well...I never had a reason to...but..." I smiled and gently hugged him, "Now I do...Thanks Ink...I really enjoyed chatting with you.." Ink seemed a little surprised, then hugged me back. "Of course Error you can always count on me to be here for you." I made a small chuckle as I let go of him, "Sorry that I have been difficult for...well...you know for the longest time...." I felt kind of bad as I said that, Ink laughed. "Its fine Error! Don't worry about it just focus on being nice now." I chuckled a little and got up, "Yeah okay Ink.." I looked down the waterfall one last time, I sighed. "Don't worry Error everything will turn out good." I looked at him, "So...If I'm not gonna be the Destroyer of universe's then, what am I?" Ink was thinking, "You could be a protector, like me." I thought about that, "I...I guess I could try..." I made a small smile, Ink seemed excited. "Okay it's settled then! Let's get going!" Ink stood up and grabbed my wrist, pulling me threw the portal that I had made before. We were back in Dreams living room, I made the portal disappear. "INK!!" Dream ran up to me and Ink and held out a piece of paper, Inks eyes widened. "Wow Dream! This is really good!" Ink grabbed the picture and was looking at it, "Really?? Thanks so much Ink! I worked really hard on it!" Ink glanced at me, "Hey Error, check out what Dream drew!" Ink held the drawing in front of me, Dream seemed nervous as he showed me. I grabbed it and was looking at it, "Huh..." I looked at Dream, "You drew this?" Dream was sweating as he nodded his head, I looked at Ink then back at Dream. I smiled at him and handed him the drawing, "It's really great Dream, better then what I could do." Dream looked at me surprised as a smile came across his face, "Aww well thanks Error!" I chuckled and nodded my head, "Yeah..." Ink gave me a smile as Dream grabbed his drawing out of my hands, "So Dream I have some big news!" I felt sweat roll down the side of my skull, Dream was looking at Ink. "What is it?" Ink put his arm around the back of my neck, pulling me closer to him. "Error is gonna be joining us in being protectors!" Dreams eyes widened in surprise as he looked at me, "No way really??" I chuckled, "Yep, I figured it's for the best...me and Ink talked about everything already..so him and I think this is the best way.." I smiled as I thought about helping others, I never wanted to help before. It's a weird feeling, but I really like it. "Well that's fantastic! Maybe we should all get to work then, we can help you Error." I realized Ink was still holding onto me, I pushed him off. "That sounds great.." Ink opened one of his ink portals, then looked at me. "Let's go tell everyone the great news!" I slowly nodded my head, hoping that this wasn't a bad decision. Ink jumped threw the portal, Dream followed him as I trail behind them. I looked around, we were at Sans house. "ERROR!!" I heard a familiar voice as a pair of arms wrapped around me, I hugged her back. "Hey (Y/N)." I gave her a smile, she seemed caught off by my genuine smile. "Hey you feeling better?" I picked her up and held her in my one arm, snuggling up to her. "I actually feel..." I looked at Ink, who was looking at me. "Really good for once..." I looked back at (Y/N), she had the biggest smile on her face. "That's great!" She hugged me tighter, I did the same as she snuggled up to my chest. "So Sans, I have some big news." Sans looked at Ink as he had a big smile, "Oh yeah and what is that?" Ink looked at me and nudged my arm, "Do to wanna tell him Error?" I started sweating as I looked over to Sans, "Oh uh...well...I...yeah sure..." I started getting nervous, I can't help it. Ink set his hand on my shoulder giving me a reassuring look, I sighed and looked back at Sans. "I am...Part of the..Star Sans now.." I looked away as shock filled Sans expression, "Wait really?" Sans was questioning the words that come out of my mouth, I don't blame him I would too. "Yes, Error and I talked about things and we came to an agreement. He is gonna try to be a good person, but it's only because of you.." Ink looked at (Y/N), "Yeah she is like a angle or something.." (Y/N) made a huge smile as she tightened her arms around me. "Aww well I knew you were nice because you were always so kind to me." I made a small chuckled as I felt a warmth go across my face, "Yeah...somehow you saw past my...jerk front I put up...for everyone else.." I set her down as she still had her arms around me, "Well you didn't do a very good job hiding it from me." I chuckled, "Well I couldn't...You made it really hard to hide myself..." I put my hand on her cheek so she would face me, "So thank you.." I hugged her more, "Aww Error...I should thank you! You are so sweet and kind to me...nobody has ever been like that to me.." I let go of her, so I was facing her. "Well they are all stupid for not seeing how amazing you really are." She giggled after I said that, snuggling up to me. "Your the best!" I made a small chuckle, "You are so nice..." I pulled (Y/N) into a kiss as I held her tighter, she leaned into it doing it back. "Awww.." I pulled away and looked at Ink feeling my cheeks heat, "Yeah Yeah whatever Ink..." I let go of (Y/N) walking up to Ink, "Why don't you stop teasing me and her and go find your own girlfriend." Ink stopped and was just looking at me, "Uh.." I chuckled, "That's what thought." Ink let out a giggle, "Haha okay Error you got me that time, now let's get going..we have some work to do." I looked back at (Y/N), walking up to her. "I am going with them so I will be back later, okay?" She nodded her head, I have her a small kiss on cheek. Ink made a portal, "Bye Error." I waved at her as Ink, Dream, and I walked threw it. I looked around and we were in Underswaps house, I stopped as I thought about the last time I had seen them. "Hey Blue! How's things going?" Blueberry saw Ink and Dream making a big smile, then ran up and hugged Ink. "HEY INK!! HEY DREAM!! I HAVE BEEN GREAT HOW ABOUT YOU TW-" Blueberry looked at me and instantly stopped, letting go of Ink and just staring at me. "Uh...Ink...." Ink stopped seeming confused until he looked at me, "Oh right..." Ink came up to me, "Error...do you have something you wanna tell Blue?" Blueberry seemed confused as Ink asked me that, "I...Y-Yeah..." I looked at the ground slowly walking in front of Blue, he seemed scared. "I..." I looked at his terrified look, I turned around and looked at Ink. "I can't do this Ink.." Ink gave me a blank look and nudged me towards Blueberry, "Come Error...you can do it.." I stopped and let out a sigh, "O...Okay.." I turned around to look at blueberry, he still seemed confused. "Ink what's going on?" I closed my eyes, "Blueberry.." He looked at me, realizing I called him by his name. "I...." I started sweating a lot, Ink came up next to me and set his hand on my shoulder. "Come on Error.." I took a deep breath, "You uh...You know..."

((Hehe I left it on another cliff hanger! I hope y'all like it, I really like to write Error joining the Star Sans. Welp I'mma start on the next one, see ya in the update!))
