- I have a certain feeling that Hayato will understand the illness very well

- he very quickly notices your patterns, your forgetfulness, daydreaming and being distracted so easily and helps you get through your day, assuring you that it's okay when you feel down because you felt like you couldn't get stuff done

- if he thinks he has trouble finding his phone, you are even worse

- he helps you to remember where you put things because you have zero object permanence. When an object is out of sight, it's completely gone for your mind

- since he has a certain temper, it's pretty hard at first to get used to your mood swings and you getting irritated easily, so at the start of your relationship, you get into little fights almost every day

- but they become less as soon as he realizes it's not your fault and you can't help it

- you feel very embarrassed by the tics you sometimes have and he assures you that it's fine

- after a while, you both can laugh about it and whenever you make jokes about your illness, he laughs with you, glad that humor is a working coping mechanism for you

- when you're telling a story, you often get lost in your own world and end up at topics far far away from what you had actually wanted to say and he gently brings you back when you doze off

- he writes you little notes and tapes them to the door of your room/flat, little reminders for you so that you don't forget too many things

“Why can't I find my fucking phone?”

You were almost yelling, fury boiling in the pit of your stomach.

This entire day was shit, you hadn't been able to pay attention at school the entire day and had been scolded for it by your teacher, a friend of yours had been pissed because you hadn't paid attention to her story about her ex boyfriend and interrupted her by talking about your favourite show and now you had lost your phone for the fifth time that day.

Your anger fueled your illness and your illness fueled your anger and you grimaced when your neck jerked your head to the side, the movement completely unintended.

Before you could groan in annoyance at the few tics that went through your muscles, you heard the door to your room open.

“Hey babe, your mum said you forgot your phone downstairs.”

You turned and your anger faded a little when you saw your boyfriend.

Yamagata smiled at you and waved with your phone, making you groan at your own stupidity.

“Ugh, I'm so dumb. Thank you.” you said and walked towards him.

You took your phone and wanted to turn around again, but he gently placed his hands at your waist and held you.
