Chapter 12 - Dinner party

Katara point of view
On Saturday Toph was Coming over to my house too. Use one of my dresses for her dinner party on Sunday.
When She got to my house we went straight to my closet trying To find a dress She liked

Katara - Ok what about this one

*I handed Toph a short yellow dress, She was laying on my bed relaxing. While I was destroying my closet trying to find a dress she liked.*

Toph - I kinda like
Toph - What color is it?
Katara - yellow
Toph - Ewww I HATE yellow
Katara - uggggg fine
Katara - I don't have that many dresses so don't be picky.
Toph - Do you have anything green?
Katara - Yeah let me check
Toph - ok

*I got a long dark green dress that was very light and tight around the waist and stoped at the mid-calf*

Katara - Here it's my last dress go try it on in the bathroom
Toph - Ok I'll be out in a minute

*Toph grabbed the dress from the bed and walked to the bathroom and closed the door behind her. I was sitting on the. edge of my bed and was on my phone, Then Sokka walked in-
*He just came home from a Soccer practice so he was all sweaty and gross*

Sokka - Hey Katara what are you doing?
Katara -I'm helping Toph find a dress, She's in the bathroom. You should take a shower
Sokka - Your so rude
Sokka - Tell me when she gets out I need to ask her something
Katara - oh o-

*I stopped talking when Toph came out of the bathroom wearing the dress. She looked amazing it was a little bit big but I could fix it. I noticed Sokka eyes get big, And if I was right I saw him blushing as well*

Toph - Well?
Katara - You look great Toph
Toph - Thanks
Toph - What are you doing hear Sokka?
Sokka - Oh well......
Sokka - I Wanted to ask about the math test
Toph - I don't find out my grade until Monday
Katara - Alright,  Toph I noticed it's a little big around the waist so.......Can you change out of the dress so I can fix it
Toph - Sure no problem

* Toph quickly went into the bathroom and changed out of the dress.
Then she opened the bathroom door and handed me the dress*

Katara - You can stay at my house while I fix it.
Toph - No I need to head back home
Toph - Just drop it off once you are done
Katara - Ok Will do
Toph - Alright bye
Katara - Bye
Toph - Thanks for the dress, Bye Sokka
Sokka - Bye Toph

Toph headed downstairs and Left my house. I got out my sewing kit right away and started to knight her dress. Sokka was still standing at my doorway just looking at the window.

Katara - Hello?
Katara - Earth to Sokka?
Sokka - Oh sorry
Sokka - I was spaced out
Katara - Do you need anything?
Sokka - No I'm good
Sokka - I'm going to head to my room
Katara - Ok then Mr. Lover boy

I always called him that when he had a crush. But according to him, he didn't like anyone, But he didn't say anything about me calling him Loverboy.
"Oh well," I thought
I continue fixing the dress so it fit Toph small waist perfectly
Then later in the afternoon, I dropped it off at her doorstep. She texted me thanks and I said no problem, the rest of the weekend was boring.

Toph point of view
Katara gave me the dress Saturday afternoon, Part one was complete and all I needed was a date to the party.
"Sokka," I thought
WHAT no we're just friends, If I invited him he would think we were more than that, Same thing with Aang I couldn't invite him cause he was taken and My parents will think we're dating. ( Which was disgusting in my opinion)
I decided to text The Duke because
1 - It will give me time to get to know him
2 - If anything happens it won't  ruin a friendship I care about
3 - He will probably say yes
