FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD GIRL MISSING

The girl who was taken on her walk home from school

On a sweltering day in February, 2017, a witness phoned local police about a teenaged girl being forcibly pushed inside a black van on her walk home from school. "She was wearing the green school uniform shirt of Fernleigh Grove High School and she had dark hair. Tall girl. A black van pulled up beside her–she didn't hear em', you know, teenagers always got those flaming headphones in–and two men dressed in black grabbed her. Only took em' thirty seconds, or less. They were gone. Poof," Mayor, 38, says. Mayor phoned the local police station immediately. Word quickly spread about the kidnapping, with hundreds of local residents volunteering to search for the girl. After seven long days of searching passed, the town of Fernleigh Grove began to lose hope that the girl was still alive.
