{two months}
It's all so subtle. She doesn't even notice it until it hits her in the face.
They still talk to each other in class, and for the most part it's great.
They study once in a while, but it seems forced.
She just wants to talk to him, and tell him that this is stupid. They're both the type of people who can't express their feelings to save their lives.
But then she realizes that he doesn't smile at her in the halls, or wave back. Or anywhere out of class really.
It's off putting, almost like an unannounced betrayal. She doesn't bode well with the cold shoulder, so she tells herself to not care.
Mira didn't know what they were, but they were something. Right?
Her responses are still wit-filled as ever, but they lack sincerity. She wonders if he notices.
It gets to the point where he doesn't even bother to turn around anymore.
That she notices.
And she almost wishes she hadn't.
