She wants to hate her so badly. It wouldn't require any effort.

But she doesn't, and that takes a lot of effort.

Ava's a lot of things that Mira isn't, but at the same time she's... okay with that.

She sighs and gets back to solving equations, trying to ignore the static in her head.

The play is tonight and after a myriad of rehearsals, she thinks they've got it down.

For once, she's excited about something.

Gosh. It's a nice feeling.

When she gets to Physics, she just plops herself in her desk, not even bothering to turn around. Not that it was much use, she could hear them talking anyway.

Beth arrives a few minutes later. She looks at Mira, then towards the back of the room, then back at her again. Wordlessly, she hands Mira an ear-bud and starts copying down notes on the board.

Beth's short blue and black curls escape her knit beanie, covering most of her face. Their unwritten contract has been breached, but Mira appreciates it.

She gratefully takes it and the sound of the Brendon Urie fills her ear, tuning out most of the noise.
