~Chapter 7~

This morning I woke up at 2:46 PM which isn't surprising since I stayed up late last night binging my favorite Anime series

I got out of bed and went downstairs to get breakfast, once I got all situated my brother came downstairs in a panic

"Bro What's your problem?" I ask him

"I'm supposed to be meeting Aphmau at the mall in 10 minutes!" He exclaims

"Oh right, because that's the only friend you have" I laugh as I get up to wash my dish

"Hey! Not like you have anymore!" Ein flusters

"Right, for your information I already have a friend group"

"Why are you eating breakfast now anyway? It's way past morning"

"1. Because I woke up late and 2.Because breakfast is the most important meal of the day" I say "Shouldn't you be getting to your date?"

"It's not a date!" He blushes "And..yes..I'll cya later sis"

He runs out the door leaving me alone in the house

"I guess I'll just head to the park myself...still kind of mad at Garroth..and I don't have Laurence's phone number..he has mine.."

I run upstairs and get dressed and brush my teeth

When I got to the park, nobody I knew was around except..

"Hey there" I hear Gene's voice behind me..

"What do you want?" I turn around and see Gene and his gang

"I see the others have been bad mouthing us" Gene laughs

"No, I'm just cold"

"We're not as bad as you think, maybe if you took the time to get to know use you wouldn't judge so harshly"

"You flatter yourself too much" I fold my arms

"Don't be like that...(Y/N) was your name?" Gene asks

"Ye"

"Follow us and I'll show you what the shadow knights are really like" Gene takes my hand and tries to get me to come under the bridge

"No way, I'm going nowhere with you" I pull my hand back

"Interesting" Gene laughs and starts circling me

"I wonder what Garroth thinks of you..I'd be a pity if he knew you were hiding something from him..after all he is your best friend, is he not?" Gene crouches by my ear when he says the last thing

"Your not getting anything out of me" I say with an emotionless face

"I don't need to, I always figure something out" He starts to walk away with his gang

'He's just mocking you (Y/N)..don't go with him...that's what he wants..'

I fist my hands and fight the urge to go punch him in his gut

'Hopefully that's the last time I'll have to encounter Gene'

A text from Katelyn interrupts my thoughts

I take my phone from my pocket and read the text aloud

"Wanna hang out today?"

I text back:

"Sure! I'm not doing anything"

"I can see that"

"?"

"Look behind you"

I turn around and see Katelyn and Teony there

"AH!" I jump

"Chill! Chill! We were just hanging out and saw you and decided to pull a little bit of a a prank on you" Katelyn says

"Well she wanted to, I didn't" Teony looks at Katelyn

"Anyway, How come you didn't say hi yesterday? Aphmau says you were at the park with Garroth and Laurence yesterday when she ran into you" Katelyn asks

"Well Garroth didn't want to because he says you guys were in a fight" I say

"He must still be salty over the soccer team thing" Katelyn laughs

"Or he likes you" Teony says

"What? No way! We just became good friends!" I blush

"Think about it! Do you really think Garroth would pull you away from Gene and his gang like that if he didn't have some sort of feelings for you?" Teony asks

"And that's exactly why I'm mad at him! I can take care of myself" I point to myself

"Is that why your not with him today?" Katelyn asks

"Well yes..and also because we practically spent the whole week getting to know eachother when we could" I say

"Aw that's so cute!" Teony says

"I don't know Teony, don't you remember when him and Laurence were all over Aphmau last year? She could be his rebound, I mean she and aphmau look and act kind of similar" Katelyn says and Teony elbows her

"I mean I can't lie, that would hurt..he kinda gave me butterflies a few times.." I sigh

"Don't worry (Y/N), I'm sure it's nothing like that" Teony says

"Let's not talk about this! Let's go...get some coffee!" I perk up a bit

"Ye! Let's go" Katelyn leads

We hung out in the Cafe for a few hours and when I got home Ein was already home

"Hey dude! How did your date go!"

"Stop calling it that" Ein waves at me "And it went..fine.."

I laugh

"Well I'm gonna go get ready for bed because of school" I run upstairs

"Alright Nerd!" I hear Ein say

I jump on my bed and turned on my phone finding 3 messages for Garroth

"Hey"

"I know your mad at me but please talk to me"

"Are you going to the park??"

I shake my head at the messages and plop my phone on my dresser without answering

I go into my bathroom and change into my pjs and get ready for bed

'Hopefully I won't have to see Garroth tomorrow'
