~Chapter 16~

I stayed at home all day on Saturday

To the point where my brother actually asked me to go out or at least invite a friend over

"(Y/N)..I know your upset but you need to be sociable" Ein comes in my room

"What? Why? If I stop talking to people then I'm less likely to get hurt or hurt others" I turn around in my chair "Plus it gives me a chance to play my game"

"I get it but I do know that the friends you made care about you" Ein says

I look back at my game and look back at Ein who shrugs his shoulders and leaves my room

'I guess I'll call one of my girlfriends'

I pick up my phone and scroll through my contacts to find 'Lucinda'

I press the call button and put it to my ear waiting for her to pick up

"Hey girl what do you need?"

"Are you busy?" I say

"Nah, I wouldn't have picked up if I were busy"

"I guess that makes sense.." I clear my throat "Do you wanna come over?"

"Sure I'll be there soon"

Lucinda hangs up

I put on a white tank and some black shorts and brush my teeth and hair

The doorbell rings and I go get the door

"Hey girl!" Lucinda steps inside and I close the door

"Heyy how's it going Lucinda?"

"It's going great! Me and Ivan have been dating for awhile and my magic lessons are going well!" Lucinda says "How about you?"

"Well I.....I...." 

'Could I tell her about Gene and Garroth?'

"What's with the face?" Lucinda frowns

Everything that happened flashes before my eyes

When it all stopped I realized I was crying and Lucinda was hugging me

"Wha-what are you doing?" I ask as I wipe my tears and hug her back

"You were crying, please tell me babe, who hurt you?" Lucinda says as she strokes my head "Was it Garroth?"

She let's go and hold my shoulders

"Lucinda. I'll tell you but.." I hesitate

"You want ice-cream?" Lucinda smiles

"Yes, lemme go get some" I smile back "Go to my room and I'll be there in a sec"

She nods and runs up stairs while I went to the kitchen to get the ice-cream

When I get to my room I sit on my bed while she's sitting at my desk

"Now tell me girl, what has been happening?" Lucinda asks

"Well...Y'know Gene?"

"Oh ye, the leader of the shadow knights, such a jerk" Lucinda says

"Well he threatened me..he told me that if I didn't do as he asked he would do something to Garroth" I say as I open my ice-cream and take a bite

"What could he really do? Garroth is strong, I mean he is captain of the baseball team"

"Ye..but when I first met Gene..I didn't know much about him and his lackeys..Sasha and Zenix..kidnapped me at lunch once so I wasn't sure what else they could do"
