Vali's POV

Ostentatious people walk by with void looks on their faces, the copy and pasted personalities evident in each and every one of them. Like robots, they pass by in a blur that could only be produced by the feelings of stress. The aberrant feeling flowed through me while I walked to a familiar part of the town.

Clouds covered the sky in thin light gray wisps as the sun shined across the streets. Its glow abnormally dim and the sensational feeling of sunlight meeting your skin lacked but the soft breeze that flowed through the air was unmatched.

My hands rest in my pockets, attempting to act normal like the humans that surrounded me. An alley rested in between an old antique store and an empty building, one that looked like it was previously occupied by a local resident in the area.

The brick that lined the outside wall of the abandoned building held cracks and dents from past events that you wouldn't find in any history book.

The discoloration in a select bricks was the only indicator that there was an undisclosed matter beyond the walls. My fingertips yearn for the luring material of concrete before me, waiting for the rough hard surface to brush the skin that covered them.

But nothing reaches them, alternatively they are met with a tingly feeling of emptiness as it absorbs my fingers and hand until my whole body becomes ensnared into the wall.

Sound becomes unknown in the seconds I remain there, the luring feeling of nothing is almost addictive, not hearing, feeling, seeing, or experiencing anything makes me want to stay enveloped forever.

Unfortunately the moment is short lived and I find myself placed in a grand sized room. White pillars line along the walls in a graceful flow, the ceiling roughly 20 feet away from me.

The air lacked smell and felt cold as it prickled at my skin, but I was used to this....it was after all my home. The silence was interrupted by the chattering of multiple cheery male voice, ones who were interrupted by the booming voice of another.

The view of an open area sat upon me, crystal white floors beneath me that revealed my reflection if I look down at it. I watch as a familiar figure holds another in a headlock while the other grabs at his arms to release him.

I shake my head and walk straight toward the being that held the booming voice, everyone looks at me but now it's just a part of the routine.

His voice is laced with power as it wraps itself around my spirit and pulls me toward him. Those brown eyes of his were empty of emotion but filled with the past history of us, they hold meaning....which only he knew. I stand in front of him, still in my human attire.

"Vali." His body was made of stone, no muscles twitching or no rise and fall of his chest. The white tunic draped over his body but I could still see the marks of Odera on his neck.

"Ulfric."

"I assume everything is going accordingly?"

"You would assume right, tomorrow she starts training. I plan on going by there later to let her know." My shoulders felt relaxed but my posture was poised. I pulled my eyes from Ulfric and placed them on the rest of the men or boys as they act around me.

I never talk to most of them and vice versa, I guess they just act too childish for my liking and I'm too serious for theirs...which I could care less about. My eyes drift back to him,

"Take it easy on her Vali, we all know how you are." I look around to see everyone looking at me, I make eye contact with Adam and he nods his head before walking towards the courtyard. I don't look back at Ulfric before I walk towards the courtyard after Adam.

When I step out warm air envelopes me and the smell of rich soil floods through my senses. Perfectly trimmed hedges were lined with unnaturally colored plants and flowers as they circled the yard. Adam sat on the brim of the giant fountain that was placed perfectly centered among everything else.

I walk over and sit across from him, he was no longer making eye contact and continued to look everywhere else but at my gaze.

Feeling as though I already knew where the conversation was going, I broke the silence. "What did you do?" His eyes stopped flickering everywhere and looked to me.

"Uh before you get angry just remember I'm young and dumb...and I was just curious." I looked down to see he had shifted his position back away from me, I feel my stare get harder but I don't make it obvious that I'm already furious and he hasn't even told me anything yet.

"IaccedentallyruinedyourswordwhenItriedtouseit."

The only words that caught my attention were ruined and sword. "What did you just say?" My jaw clenches and my hands start heating up when I fist them.

"Iruinedyoursword." My sword appears from behind his back, the blade split into ragged pieces..the powerful black glow that admitted from it no longer there. My eyes shut and I look up to the sky, my breathing becoming ragged as I try to control myself but the look on Adams face when I open them let's me know I lost the battle.

"Vali you're eyes ar-are black." Adam tries to get up and back away but I already feel the grin forming on my face. My hand wrap itself around his throat and lifts him to my height, everything around us is blurred.

"YOU HAD ONE RULE AND YOU COULDN'T EVEN FOLLOW IT!!!!" My voice is deeper and scarier than normal, with a dangerous cutting edge to it. His face starts losing color but his voice calls out loudly, "ULFRIC!"

My fist collides with the bone structure on his face and a sickening crack rings out through the air. His head whips to the sides and I hear the powerful voice boom out from the left of us,

"ΑΡΚΕΤΑ!"

My eyes move to Ulfric and I see the gold flickers in his eyes, I focus back on Adam...whose face is blue and black. I pull him closer until his nose is a couple inches from mine,

"You had ONE rule." My voice is low and I feel my eyes remain the solid dark color. My right hand which is wrapped around his throat jerks to the right of me and he flies into the stone fountain, his body making contact with it and landing in the water right below. I walk past the horrified faces back into the common area and back to the exit, not bothering to stay and see if he's okay.

Instead of going slow I just march through the wall and quickly appear back in the alleyway. My brain hasn't fully comprehended the fact that he destroyed the most important thing to me and my existence, what I've had forever and worked hard to get was gone. As well as my soul that was in it.
