Don't we go to the same school as them?

"Hurry it up, y/n! I'm starving!" Your friends Kayla and BB shouted at you as they ran down the sidewalk. You looked up from your video game, giving a small smile. "Coming."

The evening humidity made your hair stick to the sides of your face. The birds chirped loudly as they soared through the warm colored sky. The sounds of battle from your video game filled the quiet street.

"Ke hoʻāʻo nei nō ʻoe e paʻi i kēlā pae?" BB asked you as you caught up to them.

*Translation: You're still trying to beat that level?*

"'Ae." You nodded. You and BB happened to both be Hawaiian, so often times you spoke in it. And often times-

"Stop speaking in Hawaiian around me! I don't understand!" Kayla whined.

Kayla would feel left out.

The two of you giggled. "Sorry Kayla! It's a habit." BB apologized, wrapping her arm around her friends neck. The three of you finally reached your destination, the cool air greeting you as you entered the store.

"Evening, Mr.Ukai!" Kayla and BB greeted the man as you walked towards the back. He smiled. "Evening girls, how was practice?"

"Good as usual!" BB beamed as she grabbed snacks off the shelves. Ukai turned to you. "Did you beat that game of yours yet?"

"No sir." You replied, still looking down at your phone as you made your way through the store.

He chuckled and opened his newspaper to keep reading. While the three of you picked out food and drinks to eat after a long day, a group of boys entered through the door.

"Hey Coach!"

Kayla growled. "The boys are here." She mumbled. You and BB peeked over the shelf to see the first years;

Kei Tsukishima and Tadashi Yamaguchi, who were in you and BB's class.

Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, who were in Kayla's class.

also known as; the rivals.

"I don't get it." You whispered. "Why are we rivals? Don't we go to at the same school as them?"

"Because we play the same sport! Those damn boys got all the glory after beating Shiratorizawa." BB hissed.

"But...we're good now. We just didn't practice as much as we should've."

"Still! They're. Our. Rivals." Kayla snarled. You sighed.

Kayla, BB, and most of the other girls on your team despised the boys team. But, you kind of admired them. In fact, their accomplishments have pushed the girls team to get better.

The only boy on the team that you were really close with was Koshi Sugawara, since he often came over to hang out with your older brother. Other than him, you were only acquaintances with the other boys.

"Let's go talk to them!" BB muttered, rushing out of the aisle. "Yeah!" Kayla trailed behind her.

"Guess I'll come too." You mumbled, looking back down at your phone to continue your video game.

"Well, well, well." Kayla chorused, walking up to the boys. BB crossed her arms, attempting to look as intimidating as possible. You hid behind them.

"If it isn't the male crows." BB preened. "You guys have some balls to enter this store while we're in here!"

Ukai, who was watching from the counter, sighed. "Here we go."

"Look Yamaguchi, it's our obsessive haters." Tsukishima smirked. Fume shot out of BB's ears. "We're not obsessed with you!"

"Right...Hey y/n." Tsukishima leaned to his left to see your eyes glued to your video. You glanced at him. "Hey Tsukki. Hey Yamaguchi." You gave a tiny wave.

Kayla and BB turned to you. "Did you just call him Tsukki!?" BB hissed. "Don't greet the rivals, Y/n!" Kayla lectured. You looked back down at your game. "Sorry."

"So what's your problem, Kayla?" Kageyama asked. "Upset that I'm the superior setter at Karasuno?"

Kayla gritted her teeth. "You milk-loving freak."

"Come on, Y/n! Roast Hinata, he's your competition!" BB whispered to you, elbowing your arm.

You looked up to the orange-haired boy. He stared back at you, cocking his head.

"...Walking orange."

The boys gasped.

"What was that!?" Hinata shouted, Tsukishima holding him back by his collar. Before you knew it, everyone was shouting at each other, causing a huge uproar.

"As much as I love these kids, they really piss me off...ENOUGH!"

The teams froze, turning their heads to Ukai. He sighed. "You guys took it to far, making y/n roast someone!"

"But-"

"No! I shall not forgive you for that." Ukai joked, crossing his arms. "There's only one way to settle this."

"How, Coach?"

"Practice game. Girls v.s. boys." Ukai gave a menacing smile.
