We call sabotage!
After a few rounds, Suga was switched out for Kageyama again. "Good luck." He whispered. Kageyama nodded, jogging onto the court.
"Serve it up, Rin!" Kayla shouted. The current score was 17 to 21. The boys were having a harder time scoring points, ever since the dark version of you came out.
Rin threw the ball in the air and served it over the net. Noya retrieved it. "It's a little messy!"
"I got it!" Tanaka bumped it over.
"Chance ball!" Misaki yelled, bumping it to Kayla. Kayla prepared to set. BB acted as a decoy while you sped to the other side of the court. Kayla set it forward, you spiking it onto the opposite side of the court. The whistle blew.
"Alright!" Sara cheered.
"They might take the set!" Hinata whined.
"We still have a chance." Asahi assured.
"Let's go, y/n!" Kayla cheered as you twirled the ball in your hand, ready to serve.
You threw it in the air. You jumped and slammed the ball across the court, but Noya retrieved it.
"Damn it!" You cursed under your breath.
"Kageyama!" Hinata shouted. Kageyama set for a quick, Hinata jumping in the air.
BB and Kayla jumped to block. Hinata smacked it into Kayla's hand, the ball bouncing back onto his side of the court. Noya attempted to dig it up, but he was too late.
"Our point! Yay!" Misaki smiled.
Kayla bent down, holding her fingers. You noticed her balled up in the court.
"Kayla?"
"Shit!" She cursed.
"Hey, coach! Time out!" Rin shouted. The whistle blew.
The boys turned to you. "What happened?" Kageyama muttered.
"Another injury on the girls' team." Kuroo sighed. "No fair."
"Wait, what happened!? What did I miss!?" Bokuto interrogated.
Kayla stood up, revealing her fingers. You and the girls gasped.
"Holy crap, Kayla! Warn us next time!" Sara covered her eyes. You covered your mouth. "That's not how fingers are supposed to look."
"We call sabotage!" BB yelled, pointing to Hinata. "She was our only setter!"
"What!? I didn't do it on purpose!" Hinata blurted.
"Well say that to her fingers, Tangerine!" MIisaki hissed.
"Tangerine!?" Hinata yelled. The girls and boys started to go back and forth before Ukai blew the whistle.
"God you guys love to bicker with each other! Yamaguchi! Take Kayla to the nurse. We're gonna need a replacement. Yui, can you set?"
Yui shook her head. Ukai sighed. "Y/n?"
"I can set but...then we don't have a spiker sir."
"Hmmm." Ukai hummed. Suddenly and idea clicked into his head.
"Kenma! You're up!" Ukai shouted to the stands.
