My eyes followed Marino from one side of the room towards the other. I couldn't take my eyes off of him, seeing nerves creep out of him.

"Imagine she says no." I mused as a laugh started to crawl its way out of my throat "Poor him. He is already so lost with everything around happening." Croaking I started to laugh while placing a hand on my stomach, holding it in an attempt of stopping aches that started.

"Oh, shut up. It's not like you wouldn't be the same in his place." Marino snapped causing my laugh to stop and an unpleasant feeling takes over me.

"I will not be in his place."

"Yeah, yeah.. keep talking that to yourself that. Sooner or later you are going to be in the same position and then I'm gonna laugh at you." Marino mumbled as he started to pace in front of me once again.

"Firstly, stop fucking pacing around like a mad man. You are getting on my nerves with that and besides lower your voice my head hurts. And lastly, mark my words. I'm. Not. Getting. Married. I'm not gonna fall in love or any shit like that. Not ever again." I said mumbling the last part under my breath feeling the bitter taste of those words.

"Well, you didn't need to drink last night then. If you didn't drink you wouldn't have a problem called headache now."

"I needed a drink. I needed to clear my head and get ready for this." I said gesturing my hands around me at the hell that is going on.

Marino stopped averting his attention on me. I could see his eyes softened which made my blood boil. 'I don't need anyone's pity or empathy. Shit happens.'

"I didn't even ask you are-" Rolling my eyes I was about to stop his speech when doors were thrown open and Xavier walked in with a huge smile permanently attached to his face.

"And?" Moreno asked after not talking this whole time we were together closed in this fucking office. "By the look of it, it went good?" Jumping on his feet he walked in front of Xavier patting his shoulder.

"She said yes." Exclaiming Xavier throw his hands around him bringing him in a brotherly hug.

"Congratulazioni, Fratello." I said as I pushed myself from my seat on the couch and throw my hand around him.
("Congratulations, brother.")
