Chapter 1: How to Start A Dragon Academy

It's been about two weeks since Hiccup woke up from the fight with Queenie or the Red Death as the others call it. We're all waiting on a sea stack, on our dragons for Hiccup. Even though I have more flying experience, I'm no leader. Hiccup is much more fit for leadership, and I'm like his right hand man(woman?). I hear Toothless landing next to me and Hiccup says,

"Ok, guys. Best trick competition. Who's up first?"

"Me!" Snotlout calls out from on top of his Monstrous Nightmare.

"Actually, I think it's--" Fishlegs begins.

"Me!" Snotlout says.

Astrid and I look at each other and say, "Sweet baby Thor in a thunderstorm, GO!"

"Oh don't worry, we'll go. And when we go, Hookfang and I are gonna light the sky on--" Hookfang takes off before Snotlout can finish. "----fire!"

I just hear his screams of fright. Not even I can match that high pitch. Astrid snickers and I just sit calmly. Hookfang lands and Snotlout says,

"I'm alive? I'm alive! Of course, I am."

"It's my turn! Ready Meatlug. Here we go!" Fishlegs says as his Gronckle takes off. I hear Meatlug fly in a circle around us and then land.

"Yes! New personal best."

"My turn." Ruff says.

"No, my turn." Tuff argues. Hiccup and I sigh.

"Guys, same dragon." We say together.

"Oh right." Tuff says and they're off. I hear their screams and they land back after about a minute.

"We almost died." Ruff says exhausted.

"I know. Go again." Tuff says picking up.

"Hey, it's my turn." The beautiful voice of Astrid says. "You might want to take notes. Let's go."

I hear ohhs and ahhs from all the previous contestants. She must be pretty good, if they're all praising her. She lands and Snotlout says,

"Yeah, but can you do that without the dragon?" Astrid slugs him in the arm.

"Well, looks like we got our work cut out for us, Bud." Hiccup says. Toothless takes off and everyone is amazed. I hear Toothless' plasma blasts of celebration, thinking they've won. Hiccup lands and says to me smugly,

"Beat that."

"If you insist." I say as Vision takes off. I immediately jump off Vision, twirling and rolling with Vision alongside me. Right before we hit the water, Vision scoops me out from underneath and we swiftly climb back into the air. Once there, we fly over to some sea stacks, where I jump off and run along the sea stacks, then hop back on Vision. Then for our finale, Vision does some barrel rolls, while shooting fire and we fly through it. We land just in time to hear the last of their cheers and my beautiful girlfriend Astrid says,

"They're still the best." We fly back to Berk and Hiccup gets off Toothless, while I stay on Vision. We start walking around the village and I hear people shouting at dragons for being dragons. One villager yells, "Incoming! Dragon Poo!" Vision flies up and out of the line of fire. He roars at a couple of the dragons raining poo down on the village. I hear them fly away and fly back down. The next day, I'm riding Vision with Astrid on Stormfly when I hear an angry crowd. We fly down and Hiccup's trying to dissolve the anger.

"They don't mean any harm. They're just dragons, being dragons."

"Look Mildew. If there's a problem, I'll deal with it." Dad says. I groan. Of course it's Mildew causing problems. He must have just made his complaint of the day.
