Jin Ah woke up first due to the time difference. She immediately turned and tried to find Ji Sung and have his arms wrap around her so she didn't feel so cold, but finding an empty space beside her, she opened her eyes to the reality and sighed. Taking her phone from the bedside table, checking the time in LA, she decided to send him a message. "Good morning! I woke up missing you. What are you up to?"
He called quickly. "Good morning! I miss you, too. Are you ready to get to work?"
"No. I still feel sleepy," she said. "What are you doing?"
"I was just checking the house. The breakfast nook opens up to a beautiful garden. The flowers are not yet in bloom but I'm sure you'll like them when it comes. I can't wait for you to visit and see it in person," he remarked. "You? What do you have planned for today?"
"I have a few meetings to plan for the first quarter projects but nothing major. Everyone is just excited for the holidays," she shared.
"You're headed to Daegu mid-next week right?"
She said yes. "I'll be working from home for the remaining days until Christmas. Do you mind if I take your car?"
"No, no, of course not. Drive safely," he reminded. "Hey! Get up and shower. You're going to be late for work."
"Okay. Send me messages alright?"
He agreed. "You, too. Text me when you get home even if it's late here."
"Alright."
"Oh, and also, if someone asks you for a date tell them you're taken. And that you're boyfriend is extremely handsome and sexy."
Jin Ah laughed. "Handsome and sexy?!"
"Yes. Are you complaining?"
"No, not at all. Okay then. I will tell everyone that," she told him. "And how about you, Mister? There are a lot of beautiful women in Los Angeles."
"There are," he agreed. "I've already made a public declaration that I am not available. Check my social media accounts. I'll send you the links."
When she checked the links he provided, she smiled brightly. Every one was consistent in his profile. If she were honest, she was a bit annoyed with how handsome he was in the profile photo he used but the details brought the big grin she was currently sporting.
