"Aur phir tujhe pata hain, unhone maafi maangi, par hum nehi karenge unhe maaf. Maafi maangna bhi nehi aata unhe, hume hi ulta galat thehra rahe the!" She made a face.

"Chhodiye na Di, galatfehmi toh dur ho gayi na."

"Pata tha hume, asani se maaf kar degi tu unhe, humari pyaari chutki jo thehri."

"Aap hi se sikha hain."

"Aur humne papa se!" Guddan returned the smile.

"Achha chaliye ab, main aapko taiyaar kar deti hu Suhani Di ke birthday party ke liye."

"Arey haan, agar wakt pe nehi pahuche, phir toh woh humari jaan hi le legi!"

Revati rubbed the shadow brush on her eyelids, colouring them in serpentine blue. Painting her lips in magenta, she smiled at her sister's reflection in the mirror. Perfect. There she stood in navy blue skirt and off white top as her soft curls dangled loose, sugar natural.

Suhani smiled to the aroma of black choco forest and took a bite, rich and moist, the taste sent her tongue in bliss.

"Kaisi bani hain?" Guddan asked, wiggling her brows.

"Ekdam mast! Teri behen ke haathon mein toh jaadu hain Guddan, abhi tak toh use har jagah se cake ke orders milna shuru ho jana chahiye tha!" Suhani exclaimed causing the smile to fade away from her lips.

"Hum toh chote gharane ke log hain, upar se chutki ka koi dukaan bhi nehi hain, use kaha orders milte hain... Sabko bas bade dukaanon se cake chahiye.."

"Itna kyun soch rahi hain tu, humesha bas apni behen ki fikar karti rehti hain! Paise nehi sahi, par khubiyaan toh haina, unhi khubiyon se ekdin woh kamyaabi ki uchaai chuyegi, dekh lena tu." Suhani assured with a smile to which she gave her a slight nod.

"Dekh Guddan, gyarah baj chuke hain, main bhai ko bol deti hu tujhe chhod aane ko. Itni raat ko tera akele jana thik nehi rahega, upar se woh raasta sunsaan bhi hain..." Suhani suggested.

"Tu kya hume choti bachhi samajhti hain? Pandra minute ka raasta hain, chale jayenge hum apne aap."

"Tu akele nehi jayegi, samjhi?"

"Hum jayenge, aur pahuch te hi tujhe bata denge. Jaane de na hume please." She pouted.

"Thik hain, par dhyaan se.."

Sweat beaded on her forehead as some men came closer. She dripped with disgust with their inappropriate gazes. Her adamancy had led her to this, she could not ever imagine her own locality being unsafe for her. Poison has spread into every corners of the world.

"Kau..kaun hain aap log?" Guddan stuttered, clenching her fists.

"Aise mauke kabhi kabar hi milte hain, what say boys?..." One of them trailed meaningfully.

"De..Dekhiye humare p..paas mat aaiye. Hum..humse dur rahiye!" She warned, stepping back.

A surge of adrenaline rushed through her body, her feet pounding across the road. Her fast paced steps echoed in the eerie silence, her breath transforming into short gasps. She tripped over a piece of stone and plunged down. Panting, she turned back and found them approaching. She picked herself up and ran again.

She tried to run away from their clutches, oblivious that it was destined, a plan. She could run away from them, but the clutches of destiny? There was no escape!

"Tum?! Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho? Abhi takraati mere gaadi se!" The man enquired, as she stumbled before his car.

"Apple Uncle! H..Humara matlab Uncle, please hume bacha lijiye!" Guddan pleaded, gasping for air.

"Oye, hat ja tu! Hume humara kaam karne de!" The goon shouted, smirking.

"Uncle.." She helplessly clutched onto his coat, sheltering herself behind him.

"Don't Worry." He assured.

She looked up at him, his soft voice sending relief down her nerves. A voice which lulled her chaotic thoughts into a slumber.

That moment I had met you, something was there. Something calm was there in your vicinity.

His nostrils flared while the muscles of his jawline tightened. Charging forth with rage, he punched one right in the mouth and he spat out blood with his broken teeth. He effortlessly seized the attacks of the other one, twisting his hand till he had a cracky voice. His fist hit the bridge of the nose of another as he grabbed his head, his fingers digging further into his scalp.

"Aur mariye Uncle! Kya mast zor hain aapke haddiyon mein is umar mein bhi! Kisiko mat chhodiyega! Pata hain hume, is umar mein kisiko maarne mein takleef hoti hain, phir bhi sabak sikhaiye in logon ko! Lekin dhyaan se, haddiyaan na toot jaye aapki, agar kamar aakar gayi ya daat waat tut gaye toh?!" She motivated to which he shooted her an icy glare.

"Kya huya, thak gaye aap? Is umar mein aapse umeed bhi aur kya kiya jaa sakta hain.."

"Tum apna bakwaas band karogi?!" He asked, more like ordered.

"Humne kaha kuch bola?" She murmured, frowning.

They had to flee to save themselves!

"Aap theek haina? Haddiyaan, kamar, daat, sab theek haina aapke?!" She asked with uncertainty.

"Main theek hoon!" He replied, having enough of her crap.

"Hume laga tha aaj aapko hospital le jana padega!" She exclaimed, horrified while he rolled his eyes.

"Tum theek ho?"

"Haan, thank you uncle! Aapne humari kitni madad ki." She curved her lips into a smile.

"Itni raat ko yaha kya kar rahi ho tum? Aur aise saj dhaj kar ghum kyun rahi thi? Aagar main wakt pe nehi aata toh?!" He shouted.

"Aap daat kyun rahe hain? Hum kya aapko chudail dikhte hain jo raat ko saj sawarkar ghumenge? Woh toh humari dost Suhani ki birthday party thi isliye der ho gayi....... Sorry na, maaf kar dijiye."

"Mujhse maafi kyun maang rahi ho, maanga hain toh khud se maafi maango. Anyways, let me drop you home."

"Nehi nehi, iski koi zarurat nehi hain. Hum apne aap manage karlenge."

"Haan dekha maine, kitna manage kiya tumne."

"Par Guddan se sab ho pata hain!" She whined.

"You are going with me." He declared while she nodded begrudgingly.

"Wear your seat belt." He told.

"Haan.."

He shook his head at her failed attempts and leaned to her level, buckling up the seatbelt.

Well, Uncle is not that villainish, he is quite nice....

Such a naive girl!

"Kaha jaana hain?" He asked.

"Aur kaha, humare ghar! Aapne abhi tak gaadi start bhi nehi kiya? Jaldi chaliye, bahot der ho chuki hain!"

"Main tumhare ghar ka address puch raha hoon." He elaborated with an unbelievable sigh. How idiotic!

"Di, aapko aane mein itni der kyun ho gayi?"

"Mummy papa?" She asked, tensed.

"Woh sab maine manage kar liya hain, ab aap mere sawaal ka jawaab dijiye." Revati demanded to which she had to detail her the events.

"Di aap thik haina? Aapko kahi lagi toh nehi na?" Revati asked softly, checking for any possible injury.

"Hum bilkul thik hain, kuch nehi huya hain! Uncle sahi wakt pe aagaye the."

"Akshat ji utne bhi bure nehi hain jitna humne socha tha." Revati spoke with a timid smile.

"Haan... Par phir bhi, khadoos hain! Khadoos Apple Juice!" She remarked, furrowing her brows.

"Di aap bhi na!"
