it was a big white envelope. it had both of my parents name . i grabbed all the mail and closed the door , as i looked through them .
y/n- hey mom what's this
i said placing the big white envelope on the table . her eyes widened, she quickly grabbed it .
mom- nothing . it's the s-surprise . from me and your father
she smiled and ran upstairs . i was about to go running after her but the door opened revealing my dad .
y/n- hey
i said
dad- hi
he sad and ran upstairs. i sat on the chair and finished looking through the mail . one was a blue envelope , with my name and address . it came from cali , bay area . i opened it , revealing a bracelet. it had a small sea star , and my letter . (whatever the first letter of your name is :) )
i smiled just by looking at it . i checked the envelope one last time , their was a note .

mom's pov
dad- what's so important . i should've been at my meeting
he said
mom- the prints came in . it says we need to go to court next wee-
dad- we'll go while we're in the business trip . i gotta go
he said and ran out the room . i heard talking then someone opened the door and closed it .
y/n- mom you up here ?
i heard coming from the stairs .
mom- uh yea hold on !
i yelled and ran into the closet looking for somewhere to hide the papers . i grabbed a box next to the shelf and put them in their . she knocked on the door .

y/n's pov
i knocked on the door and she opened it.
y/n- what were you doing in the closet
mom- i - i was changing . did your dad leave
she said walking out her room . i walked behind her
y/n- yea . i put your food on your plate
i said and walked downstairs
y/n- hey mom .
i said and waited for her response
mom- mmh
y/n- are you hiding something from me ?
mom- no it's just a surprise for your 18 th birthday
she smiled and hugged me
y/n- are you sure . because you and dad seem very sus . you literally ran to your room and so did dad
i said taking my seat . mom nodded and began eating .

i helped mom washing the dished . after i did , i headed upstairs and plopped on the bed face timing ayiana .
ayiana- hey girl
she said as she connected
y/n- hey
ayiana- are you okay ?
y/n- yea . just confused , tired i dunno
ayiana- what's up
y/n- i dunno . i think my parents are hiding something from me
ayiana- like ?
y/n- their was this envelope that came in the mail . i showed my mom and she ran to her room . secs later dad arrives and runs up to the room as well . they were talking for like 3 or 5 mins then he leaves

i said and flipped on my back
ayiana- your parents could be getting divorced, but i doubt that . they are so in love with each other
y/n- i dunno . i mean dad kissed some girl i think her names stacy and my mom seemed pretty hurt . but i - i don't wanna talk about it
ayiana- oh and speaking of mail . did you get the bracelet
y/n- yes
i said and a smile sored across my face
ayiana- it's so pretty huh . michael and i went to pick it out . i think he likes you
y/n- he doesn't . isn't he talking to some girl name-
ayiana- no . that was a long time ago . something tells me you like him
she smiled
y/n- i mean he's cute and all . we got to know eacb other the day of the wedding . all im gonna tell you is that he's something else
y/n- oh shit , i forgot to tell you .
ayiana- ou tea . spill
y/n- i had a dream...

we spent hours talking on the phone . dad hadn't arrived yet and mom was already asleep . i checked the time 10 pm . i yawned
ayiana- anyways you should go to bed
y/n- alright . i'll call you later
i said . we hung up . i put the phone on the drawer and turned the lamp off . soon i fell asleep . 

next morning
i woke up to a baby crying , yelling , and my alarm going off . i groaned . i got up and checked my phone . 7: 42 am .
y/n- shit shit shit !
i yelled as i ran around my room . i brushed my teeth , washed my face , and looked for an outfit . i was running late , school starts at 8 . i put my shoes on and put my hair in a ponytail . i grabbed my bag , phone , and with that i ran downstairs . i checked the time again . 7:50 am . i ran out the door and found the boys barely pulling up .

y/n- what took you guys long ?
vallyk- chill we went to get coffee
he said handing me a coffee
derek- you just woke up didn't you
y/n- ive been up sinc- yea . did how do you know ?
i said taking a sip from the coffee
derek- your shirt's inside out
he chuckled
vallyk- everytime dude
he said grabbing my coffee as i flipped the shirt and put it back on .
derek- have some respect , vallyk has a girlfriend
y/n- he's seen me in a swim suit . it's fine
i rolled my eyes as i grabbed the coffee again . minuets later the car parked , we all got off the car and the bell soon rung .
