WATER
10 August 2020

After a long drive and a few pit stops because of Jc and Kian's 'pranks' they finally arrived at the lake.

Alaïa held Danny's hand tightly as the boys neared the edge of the water. She tried her hardest to remain calm and not seem over dramatic or stupid.

Kian's eyes flickered down to the girl holding hands with Danny and clenched his jaw slightly. He wished she could be holding his hand instead.

He wish she was next to him.

Alaïa wasn't paying any attention to what the boys were saying, she just sat back and watched them fish or feed the ducks. Kian had offered to teach her how to fish, but she politely declined and instead pulled out a pack of cards to play solitaire.

"Are you okay?" Jake questioned as he sat on the floor beside the girl. "You seem," He hesitated slightly, "distant."

"I'm just tired." She lied. "Seb woke us all up at like 3:30." She added with a light giggle. Kian couldn't help but turned around at the soft giggle that came from the girl. It made his heart skip a beat. "I'll be fine." She whispered.

"Okay." Jake gave her a small side hug.

Alaïa looked up to Kian, who was already looking at her and offered him a small wave, which he quickly returned. He motioned for her to come over but she shook her head.

"Did we all do something to piss Alaïa off today or?" Jc questioned Danny as he looked back at the girl concerned.

Jake had offered to go and see if he could figure out the reason as to why she was being so quiet, but he had no luck. He had told the boys that it would look less suspicious if he had the camera with him and filmed them, that way if she asked he could say he was filming a montage for them.

"No, no, she's just tired probably." Danny shook his head, covering for his best friend. He knew why. He knew what was wrong with her.

"She seemed fine this morning." Thomas added. "And on the drive here."

"She seems happy enough talking to Jake at the minute." Sebastian pointed out as he threw some bread to the ducks.

"Lucky Jake." Kian muttered and leant against the railing.

Kian grabbed Alaïa's hand and pulled her to a stop and allowed the others to continue walking towards the bus. Alaïa looked up to the boy confused.

"Are you okay?" He questioned seriously, his thumb running over her knuckles.

"Mhm mhm." She tried her hardest to maintain eye contact. She plastered a small smile on her face, hoping Kian would just leave it at that.

"You don't have to tell me what's wrong, Lai, but I'm here." He whispered, his eyes flickering down to her lips for a split second.

"Thank you." She whispered innocently.

Kian smiled down at the girl and placed a small comforting kiss on her forehead. Alaïa closed her eyes and relaxed. She couldn't help but feel safe and comfortable with him.

"Let's get back to the others." Kian muttered nodding over to where the guys were stood around the RV.

"Dude, guess what?" Jc questioned as Kian walked around the corner hand in hand with Alaïa.

"I knew it." Kian muttered shaking his head.

"It's coming out of your tab buddy." Jc announced, attempting to hand the piece of paper to Kian.

Kian shook his head and said, "No it's not."

"What the?" Jc shouted jokingly.

Alaïa wrapped her hand around Kian's wrist and took a small step closer to him.

"It's coming out of ours." Kian said looking directly at Jc.

"I don't even know what it's-I think just like a-" Jc was cut off by Kian.

"Courtesy notice. Yeah, it's coming off my tab." Kian shrugged it off and took the paper from Jc's hands.

"So it's not even a ticket?" Sebastian quizzed looking between Kian and Jc.

"Wait, it says, please obtain a vehicle pass, pass may be obtained at the station. Instead of blocking parking spaces." Kian chuckled. "What do you mean? We only blocked three."

"Only, he says." Alaïa let out a small laugh. Kian gave Alaia's hand a light squeeze.

"I saw that Andy commented on your post." Kian looked down towards Alaïa as the boys got into the van.

"He did, did you tell him to?" Alaïa questioned, tilting her head back to look up at the boy.

Kian just shot the girl a playful wink and guided her into RV.
