"𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞 - 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞."_______________________________
Your eyes felt heavier waking up since the puffiness from crying the night before had not gone away. Another day of school.
Just that dread kept you under the covers, staring up at the ceiling wishing it were a Friday. You could see the sun pouring in through the curtains in your room, turning the clouds a golden yellow as the rest of the sky was a dull blue.
Picking up your phone from its charger you checked your notifications, seeing the calls and worried texts from Akaashi and Bokuto, too lazy to open them you set your phone back down and tried to close your eyes again.
A knock interrupted you, causing your eyes to jolt open as you let a scoff escape your mouth.
"Y/n! You better be up it's almost time for you to leave." Your mom rapped at the door. Rolling your eyes you begrudgingly stretched and turned to sit on the edge of your bed. You already missed the warmth of your bed, the cold air being exposed to your feet and legs making goosebumps and hairs begin to stand up.
Just as you heard your mom's foots steps walk away slowly from the door, you jumped onto your uniform, sloppily putting it on. No tie, no vest and a messily buttoned up shirt with ankle high socks. It was a sloppy get together but at least you'd make it to school on time. It would be too embarrassing to walk into class and have everyone stare at you, especially him.
With a small amount of mascara on you raced out the door, not even able to pack lunch or eat any breakfast. You could hear the muffled yelling of your mother telling you off get quieter as you ran farther and farther away from the house.
The mascara around your eyes extenuated the dark under eyes that had grown since the day before. Somehow getting more sleep just made you feel more drowsy and tired. Your under eyes felt heavier as the cold air flew into your face as you were running, causing tears to form at the corners of your eyes.
(it hurts to run in the cold 💔)

You looked disheveled and messy but at least you made it to class on time. Kuroo was distracted so he didn't even realized you walked into the room. The black-haired boy was talking to another third year who had closely cut light brown hair and was short for a third year.
Since you didn't know anyone you could speak to before the bell you just stared at the blackboard, waiting for the teacher to walk in. When the bell rang everyone went back to their seats, the boy that Kuroo was talking to then sat in front of you. He leaned far back in his chair as he crossed his arms waiting for the teacher to call attendance.
"Yaku Morisuke?"
"Here" The boy sat in front of you stated proudly, Kuroo across the room stifling a laugh as "Yaku" sent him a glare. His face looked familiar. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you got lost in thought, did he go to the same middle school? Volleyball team? Just before you could think of it the teacher said your name, catching you off guard."U-uh here." You squeaked, the class turning to stare back at you. It was intimidating and awkward, your chest grew with panic as you tried to hide yourself the best you could. That's when you made eye contact with Kuroo, who seemed to be covering his mouth trying to hide his laughter.
Before you could shoot him a glare of some sort his eyes darted away, purposely trying not to look back at you. You focused on preparing your notes for class instead until your name was announced again at the front of the classroom.
"L/n Y/n?" The teacher asked in a criticizing tone. Your breath hitched from his tone. Fuck. What did I do this time? You thought, cursing at yourself or anything you could have done.
"Yes?" You breathed out nervously.
"What happened with your uniform? You are out of dress-code," He stated pointing over to you, "Wearing a tie is mandatory for this school and your skirt is hiked up too high."
"But-" You started trying to argue, but before you could say a word the teacher stopped and interrupted you.
"I'm sorry it's school rules, after-school detention. Please inform your parents."
"Yes sir." You let out a defeated sigh, too annoyed to pay attention to what he was writing on the board you began to space out.

Late into the class Yaku abruptly turned around to face you, snapping you out of your daydream.
"Hey, i'm sorry about the detention." He said apologetically, noticing that he had bright brown eyes as he looked up at you.
"You're new here right? It's not like you're supposed know the rules." Yaku scoffed.
"No it's really okay, it's just one day of detention i'll get through it," You laughed, "But, thank you for caring, i'm L/n"
"No problem, i'm Yaku. I'm on the volleyball team so maybe once you get out of detention I could walk you home." He smirked, his extroverted personality surprising you.
"Sure that would be nice." You smiled genuinely back at him. He threw a thumbs up towards you before turning back to look up at the blackboard.
The bell rang for lunch just as you were starting to pay attention and take notes.
"Shit." You cursed under your breath, making Yaku look back at you.
"What happened?" He asked, stopping what he was doing.
"I took barley any notes, I couldn't really focus." You awkwardly laughed rubbing the back of your neck, flustered that he heard you.
"Do you need mine?" Yaku motioned to the notebook that was in his hands, "You can give them back to me after school when I walk you home." He smoothly placed the book unto your desk, waving you a goodbye as he walked out of the door with a confused Kuroo.
He didn't even let you object and left you speechless. Realizing you had no lunch to eat, you silently started to transfer down his notes, trying not to copy them word for word.
