Noah's POV

"annyeonghaseyo, jeong seonsaengnim. bihaeng-eun eottaess-eo?" My driver, Mr. Lee, greeted me with a smile as soon as he saw me come out from the arrival hall. (Good afternoon, Mr. Jung. How was your flight?)

"joh-eun." I replied while giving him my suitcase while he gave me a trench coat and started walking towards the sliding doors to the car with Mr. Lee tailing me. (Good.)

From the corner of my eye, I could see Aurelia coming out with her family. Her beautiful black hair was swaying while she was walking through the airport. Now she's wearing her purple winter jacket which looks a little big on her so she's kinda dressed up like bao. I smirked at the sight of her. Looking at her all clueless but still riled up at the same time at how I knew her name was funny. I walked out and got into the black SUV and ordered Mr. Lee to start driving to my place which I bought here a year ago.

It's weird being back in Seoul. But it isn't a family reunion that brought me back here but work. Working during Christmas week was something I was used to. Of course it wasn't always like that. It was when my parents died in a car accident when I was 8 and my uncle, Richard, took me in. Uncle Richard began training me in combat ever since I was 8. It was the day after we buried my parents, he immediately shouted at me to get out of bed at 6 in the morning and get ready for training. Being 8 and losing my parents at that time, I was still grieving and didn't care about his commands. Big mistake. I still remember he poured cold water all over me after realizing I hadn't move from my bed to the bathroom to wash up. He didn't let me bathe after that. We got straight into training while me still being in drenched clothes. He forced me to run laps around the compound we had behind his house and when I cried he would make me run more, starve me or hit me which is the stupidest thing ever. Hit a child to make him stop crying, nice parenting but I wouldn't say I'm ungrateful.

Everything I am now is because of him. He made me hard and showed emotion only when necessary which is most of the time none. He constantly pushed me hard during our hand to hand combats. He trained me himself and therefore I was his best assassin. He thought me everything from jiujitsu to how to aim and fire with a gun. By the age of 13, I had my first mission and first kill. It was a senator that kept laundering money into his offshore accounts. He stole almost half of the citizens' money. Fucker thank God he died.

I was too deep in my thoughts to have realized that Mr. Lee wasn't driving to my place. I only noticed when the car came to a halt outside a familiar looking house. Mr. Lee looked up to the back mirror and said "jeong ssi, dangsin-i dochaghamyeon samchon-i jeoege dangsin-eul yeogilo delyeo olago jisihaessseubnida." (Mr. Jung, your uncle has instructed me to bring you here once you have arrived.)

"wae jeon-e mal anhaess-eo?" I said rubbing my temples. Gosh, I was hoping I didn't have to see him until tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, he's the only family I have left but I know for a fact him wanting to see me won't be because it's the holiday season but much more rather for work reasons. I'm sure he wants me to brief him about how I'm going to get rid of Aurelia's father. I don't know for sure whether she knows what kind of business her father does but it's not good. Therefore, getting rid of him is necessary. The need for briefing my uncle is because Aurelia's father, Ethan James, is a public figure and everyone loves him and my uncle wants to make sure nothing goes wrong with the operation. (Why didn't you say something before?)

"dangsin-ui samchon-eun dangsin-i jabaljeog-eulo oji anh-eul gyeong-uleul daebihaeseo malhaji mallago na-ege malhaessda." Mr. Lee replied politely. Always so formal. (Your uncle told me not to tell you in case you would refuse to come voluntarily.)

"Well, he certainly is not wrong." I mumbled under my breath to myself as I got out of the SUV. I stared at the property before me as memories of training with Uncle Richard came surfacing back. It was a contemporary house with traditional Korean architectural elements. One of my uncle's hobbies, other than beating the shit out of me when I was younger, was gardening. As I walked in I could see that he HAS been keeping busy around the garden because his camellias are blooming beautifully. I walked up the steps into the house. I was greeted by one of the maids and walked straight to my uncle's study. Without knocking, I entered by uncle's study.

"wae jeoleul bojago haess-eoyo, samchon?" I asked Uncle Richard even though I knew slightly what it was about but sometimes my uncle could be unpredictable. (Why did you ask to see me, uncle?)

"Noah!" My uncle looked up from his laptop and greeted me with a big fatherly smile on his face. He had his grey hair slicked backwards neatly, wearing a blue sweater with some trousers. His face bare of any facial hairs.

"What do you want uncle? Why couldn't this be done tomorrow?" I said sounding annoyed.

"Is that a way to greet your uncle who practically raised you and whom you haven't seen in six months?" My uncle questioned with a sly smirk as he said it in English. My uncle regularly did business in America therefore he had to learn English. Other than that, he, like my mother, was half Korean and half Chinese. When I was young, he thought me Chinese too and then English was picked up when he shipped me off to America for a job.

I rolled my eyes. "Wow uncle. I can't believe you would guilt trip me like that."

He chuckled and said "Come give your uncle a hug." I walked over to him as he stood up and we gave each other a brotherly pat on the back to count as a hug.

"What do you want uncle?" I asked him again.

"Alright boy. Alright. Jeez, can't even see you without a reason." He said surrendering.

"Uncle, might I remind you that you were the one who gave me the job of getting rid of Ethan James." I said coolly

"I know. Damn I taught you well." He smiled proudly. "Give me a rundown on how you are going to do it and you do not need me to remind you how important this job is right."

"Yes, uncle."

"Good, now give it to me." My uncle said rubbing his hands together like the evil villain in the shows when his minions are coming up with some diabolical plan.

"So as you know the James' are in Seoul too which is the entire reason why I'm here too." I said in a duh tone. "I have made contact with Aurelia James which is Ethan James's daughter and was hoping to get more information about her father's whereabouts and doings if she knows any." Me saying Aurelia's name has put a smile on my face thinking about how infuriating she is.

"The mission is to get close enough to her, get information about her father, kill her father and leave no witnesses alive." I continued briefly. It's just a rundown no need to go into details.

"Good. You better make sure there's no other stuff that would jeopardize the mission. As I've taught you before you cannot let your emotions take control in this mission or any other mission I give you. There is no room for those stuff." My uncle said sternly. His 'boss' self coming out.

"Yes uncle. I understand." I replied like an obedient soldier.

"Good. You may go." He dismissed me.

I went out of my uncle's house to see Mr. Lee waiting for me to take me to my place. As soon as I went up to my place. I immediately crashed on my bed. The sleepless nights before today were taking a toll on my now as I slowly drifted into the dark.
