After our little make up session, I went to the bathroom to take a shower since I didn't take on at Noah's place. Thinking back to Noah, I can't believe he actually agreed for dinner tomorrow. I honestly thought he would just stick with his first decision to turn it down but he didn't. Sometimes I think that I'm starting to get to know him, to understand him better but then all of a sudden his behavior changes and I'm back at square one again.

During the whole car ride, I asked him questions about himself which he replied coldly with short simple answers and then all of a sudden when we reached my hotel he started to make eye contact and notice me. He even smiled and wow, his smile was just dazzling honestly. It showed off his pearly whites and he looked adorable. Kinda like a kid on Christmas morning. I wish I could have 'showing off his pearly whites Noah' all the time but that's not possible.

Wait. Why am I even thinking about wanting to see him all the time? Don't forget that he is an asshole and although you may find his green eyes alluring and hypnotizing you will not fall for it, I reminded myself, tomorrow is strictly just a 'thank you for saving me and taking care of me' dinner and nothing more. You two are practically strangers that just so happen to have coincidentally met each other three times. You will not see him after tomorrow.

I kept repeating the mantra in my head trying to convince myself, hoping if I repeat it a few more times it would be stuck in my brain.

Looking at my phone I realized it's almost 4 days till Christmas and I still haven't got any presents for my mum and Aaron, fuck my father. With that I wore the bathrobe out to see my mum and Aaron sitting in front of the TV watching some Korean drama with no subtitles.

"Hey guys. Do you understand what they're saying?" I asked.

"No. But who cares. All we have to do is see what they're doing and then we can more or less guess, right?" Aaron said.

"Alright." I laughed. "I was wondering if you guys wanna go out shopping. Since it's nearly Christmas and I haven't got you guys anything and Amy."

"Sure, sounds like a plan since we didn't have any today." My mum beamed.

"I'll go get ready." I walked into my room.

*

I got ready by blow drying my hair and deciding to wear a long skirt that reached my ankles and an oversized turtleneck. I coated my lips with a thick layer of lip gloss not forgetting yesterday's lesson and I took my mask and stuff it in my bag. I got out of my room and found that mum and Aaron are already waiting for me by the door.

"Took you long enough, sis." Aaron teased.

"Oh hush. You take an equal amount of time as me and you're a guy." I said while the three of us were in the elevator.

"I do not." Aaron huffed. I just laughed at how childish he is.

We reached the lobby to find that my father's driver was already waiting for us outside opening the car door. The three of us piled in and my mum told the driver where we were going which was Myeongdong, which is a bustling hopping area packed with international fashion brands, luxury department stores and homegrown cosmetics shops. The driver, whose name I learned was Mr. Son, nodded and we were off. It was about four in the evening and my tummy suddenly grumbled reminding me that the only meal I had today was Noah's chicken noodle soup. I made it my mission to hunt for food as soon as we reach Myeongdong.

Even though it was considered early when we arrived in Myeongdong, there were already many people there. Tourists and locals were crowding the streets and the stores. Vendors were busying setting up their stalls. The three of us immediately went to a restaurant to stuff our stomachs. We ended up eating Korean barbeque because it would be a waste to come all the way here and not eat the authentic Korean barbeque. After stuffing our stomachs, mum and I went in into a bunch of cosmetic and skin care stores. Poor Aaron was just following behind us and he looked annoyed and tired. The sad thing was mum and I just started. Mum and I bought a bunch of facemasks and Aaron was in charge of carrying the bags.

Aaron also bought a few Nike sweatshirts and joggers. I finally bought mum a Christmas sweater and she was over the moon just like I knew she would.

"Guys, let's take a picture." My mum called out to us as she saw a Christmas tree.

"Really, mum...? In the middle of the square?" Aaron hid his face, embarrassed.

"Yes, Aaron. Now come here. Both of you." Mum insisted.

"Alright mum." I obeyed.

"Say cheese!" Mum said as she held up her phone and angled it so it could capture us and the star at the top of the tree.

"CHEESE!" Aaron and I responded while smiling at the camera.

"Great!" Mum looked at the outcome of the picture.

We continued shopping, sometimes we aimlessly go into stores just because there are a bunch of people inside too and they were giving free samples. I'm honestly amazed by how the workers accommodate to the tourist. I went into one store and heard the attendant speaking to one of the tourist in Mandarin which just blew my mind away. We surrendered around 9 p.m. and mum called Mr. Son to come pick us up.

When we reached the hotel, three of us were exhausted and laid down in the living room.

"I'm never going shopping with the two of you every again." Aaron grumbled.

"It's not like you didn't buy anything." Mum argued. Aaron murmured something under his breath.

"Hey you guys are back! How was your day?" My father came walking out in his pajamas from his and Aaron's room. I was shocked to see him here because I didn't notice his shoes in the room at all.

"It was terrible. MY FEET ARE SORE!!" Aaron complained.

"And you call yourself an athlete." I said under my breath but Aaron heard it and gave me a glare which I just shrug to it.

"What about you Lia?" My father asked me."

"It was fine." I got up and took my stuff to the room and said good night to my mum. I went to the bathroom with my night clothes to change and to wash my face. I came outside to find Aaron sitting on the bed.

"Hey Aaron. What's up?" I said wiping the towel to dry my face.

"I know sis...about dad..." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"How...?" I stared at him stunned by this piece of information. Aaron knew all along about dad's infidelity. I was afraid it was because of my little outburst yesterday at the restaurant.

"I caught him doing it with one of the maids we used to have when we were little." Aaron admitted.

"So it wasn't because of what I said yesterday that gave you any ideas?" I confirmed.

"Ya.." He answered.

"Then.. why do you still worship him? I don't get it? How can you speak to him as if nothing has happened?" I questioned him, annoyed by the fact that Aaron knew how much of a hormonal dick our father was yet he still acted like nothing happened.

"Well.. I can't change the fact that he is my father. I didn't choose him to be my father. He still treats us the same you know? He still takes care of this family." Aaron answered.

"That's the thing. We didn't have a choice in choosing our family! All the more reason to be pissed off! And so what if he treats us the same? He doesn't treat mum the same. How do you think it feels to have to watch your own husband whoring around? Fucking around isn't taking care of this family." I shouted at him.

"Sis, calm down... I know he treats mum differently but they're in an open relationship..." Aaron calmly said.

"I don't want to talk about it anymore, Aaron..." I sighed rubbing my temples. "Could you please leave, I would like to get some sleep now."

"Okay... Good night, sis." Aaron got up and left.

I went into bed and snuggled into the comforter and led out a loud sigh as I slowly drifted off to sleep with my last thoughts replacing the warmth of the comforter to the warmth of a green-eyed asshole.
