𝐄𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲!

Aly started first.

"How was Funneh affected? Hm, I wonder. She just got to laze around and lie a little. Wow what a hard life, how hard is it to completely ruin someone's life Funneh?" She said sarcastically.

Funneh backed away, scared.

"You little bitch-" Gold yelled.

"DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT SHE'S BEEN THROUGH YOU SICK SKANK?" She screamed.

I stepped forward.

"You have no right to say that." I said.

She backed away but smirked.

"What are you gonna abuse me too?" She snickered.

Kyran spat on the ground.

"Disgusting. You know he wouldn't do anything like that. Especially to Funneh." He shouted.

"You're the sick skank!" He added.

Gold's eyes widened.

Funneh was shaking with sobs.

I looked at her.

She looked back.

Why did she do this?

What did she have to gain?

Pity?

I don't get it.

Aly was right.

She had done some horrid things to me.

She was lying constantly.

Even tried to get me arrested but had a lack of evidence and didn't have any injuries.

Why did I have to forgive her?

Aly turned to me, ignoring Gold's crying.

"Why, brother?" She whispered.

She turned her back on Funneh.

Literally and figuratively.

As soon as she started lying she took down her fanfiction of us together.

She supported us so much.

But...

It seemed she was ready to abandon Funneh.

Ready to leave her.

Why was that?

Did Funneh do something to her?

I stared at my little sister.

Her black hair from my mother.

Her red eyes from me and my dad.

My dad.

I would never fully forgive her.

But I could try.

Just like my dad.

"I don't truly know if I can be friends with her right now. But I'll try." I answered.

When he left us I received a text from one of his many phones.

It asked for forgiveness.

I was blinded by rage.

He had the audacity to ask for forgiveness when he abandoned us?

It's difficult when it's your family.

With friends or significant others, it's fine.

It's not fine but you appreciate your family from that.

You have them to fall back on.

Exept when you don't...

When they leave you.

And you're left to wonder if they were planning this for years.

If all the memories you had together were fake.

That you're ashamed that their blood runs through you.

So you try get rid of the shame.

You claim that they're not your family.

But it never works.

You still love them.

And you always will.

Because they're family.

And that's what makes it so painful.

You want to hate them.

You really do.

But you can't.

It doesn't matter how many times you shout that you hate them.

That you scream that they're horrible people.

That you cry that they were never good people.

You don't believe it after a day or two.

And when you meet them, all the anger is gone.

You want to make most of your limited time together.

And when your time dries up, you cry and hug eachother.

Don't you?

But when you get home, you hate them again.

No matter how many good memories you make together.

It can never really make up for the time you lost.

Nothing can.

Aly hugged my tightly.

I didn't realise that I was crying.

Evelyn and Kyran stopped their fight with Gold and Funneh and turned to me.

"Skip school?" Aly whispered.

I nodded, unable to form words.

I didn't trust myself to talk.

I hated being vulnerable in from of Aly.

I wanted to show her that I could protect her.

That I was worthy of being her brother.

Evelyn called her driver and he drove up and sent us home.

That day was the worst day of my life.
