ABOUT FOUR HOURS TO get ready sounds reasonable. Right? I mean, it's not like we're going to our Senior prom. But, knowing Mariah and Ivy, they take extra hours just to make sure they look their best. Even though my two best friends always look extravagant.
Me on the other hand, I only need about 2. Getting ready consists of showering, doing makeup/hair, and simply dressing into your outfit. I know that doesn't sound like it needs 4 hours, but knowing all 3 of us, we'll get sidetracked easily.
Getting ready together for things like school dances or anything really, has been a tradition since middle school for us. It makes you feel more confident for the night, to me at least. And, of course, you can get your friend's opinions on anything you're unsure about.
Daniel usually tags along with us, but tonight is dissimilar I'm guessing.
Winter break recently started a day prior. Today being Friday, which also means no school, we've had more time to do things like sleep in until 9. Waking up most days at 5 can be tiring. But, I'm delighted we get about 2 1/2 weeks of school off for Christmas and New Years. And for sleeping in as well.
Saying I'm anxious yet elevated for the dance is a understatement. My stomach feels as if it has a giant pit in it and I can't seem to get it away. And my fingernails would be bitten down to the nub if it wasn't for Margot almost taping my hands together this morning.
Last weekend with Louis was fantastic, I couldn't ask for a better way to spend it. But, after our sudden kiss, things became more silent than usual and I can't explain why. It's causing me to endure some overthinking. However, Millie has informed me that he really liked it.
I'm just praying that it doesn't mess up whatever tonight has in store.
Louis, along with Daniel, will be arriving around 5:50 hopefully. Since the Frosted Formal starts at 7 and it takes a long minute to drive to Vincent Valley High.
