"I mean, it doesn't make any sense? Right?" Pisces fumed as she stuff her belongings in to her bag.
"Calm down, all right?" I said.
"Calm down? How can I calm down when we're just given a new set of homeworks while I still have tons of unfinished homeworks from my other subjects, and exams are almost near?"
"Jikan kanri, sore dakedesu. Soshite, shiken no tame ni sūjikan no suimin." Sakura quietly said as she stood wearing her backpack and watched Pisces fuming.
"Kore wa mada gakusei seikatsu desu." she sighed and we went out of the classroom.
"Kita na lang tayo sa next sub." I said in a cheerful voice.
"All right. Sakura and I'll go ahead. See you later Mira!" Pisces cheerfully bade.
Kumaway ako sa kanila tsaka tumalikod sa isa't isa. I like Tuesday's because I have an extra hour of free time before my next class.
Tahimik ang hallways at corridors dahil karamihan ay may mga klase pa. Kapiranggot ang makikitang mga tao kaya masarap maglakad. Walang mga nakaharang sa daraan ko kaya ayos. I mean, nakakairita lang minsan dahil kung maglakad yung iba tila ba nasa park sa bagal.
I went to the library and automatically head to the shelves. Namili muna ako ng librong babasahin bago umupo. Maganda 'tong pwesto ko dahil tahimik—no pun intended—at medyo nasa sulok. May ilan ilan ding mga estudyante ang nandito at nag aaral.
I picked the book Garden of Shadows by V. C. Andrews because the book cover caught my eye. Nakakaintriga rin yung title kaya binunot ko agad.
Sumilip ako sa phone para tignan ang oras, may 50 minutes pa 'ko kaya marami-rami naman siguro akong mababasa. Hihiramin ko na lang kung sakaling magandahan talaga ako.
I started reading and was immediately absorbed.
I'm almost at chapter three when the chair beside the chair in front of me scrapped the floor. I took no notice of it at nag patuloy lang sa pagbabasa.
Kaso hindi ko mai-tuloy ang pagbabasa dahil nararamdaman kong nakatingin siya sa'kin.
"Do you mind?" I said without looking.
"I don't." that voice...
Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at tumalikod ako. Itinuloy ko lang ang pagbabasa. I reached chapter three.
Sa sobrang komportable ng puwesto ko, nakasandal na 'ko sa upuan at naka dekwatro. But that comfort lasted only for a few minutes before I smelled something minty beside my cheek.
"This book looks old. Doesn't your eyes get itchy by the dust mites?" he said in a low voice.
I have to remind myself not to suddenly turn at my left.
"Fortunately, my eyes feel fine. At bakit ka ba nandito sa library ngayon?" I asked Leo.
"To read of course." he stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Then go search the bookshelves for something to read." I said slightly irritated.
"But I am reading right now." he chuckled.
"Seryoso ka ba?"
"Yes. I'm starting to find this quite entertaining. You wouldn't mind sharing with me, right?"
I'm not sure if it's because I find him irritating that his words seemed like a double meaning. I heaved a sigh.
"Oo na, oo na. Just let me read in peace okay?" I give up.
