Iwaizumi's POV

I stumbled and was holding my eye, the blood still streaming and soaking the snow. Oikawa looked like he was almost trying to come back to his senses from pure horror of what he did.

"...Iwa-" Oikawa yelped when an arrow whizzed by and into his arm. He fell to the ground and several hunters walked out from behind the trees. Several of the hunters threw a metal chain net over Oikawa that was weighed down with heavy boluses to keep Oikawa from being able to get up.

I watched in fear, telling the men to stop when I heard my father's voice.

"Now that is how you hunt, Hajime." I looked over, my father walking over.

"..Dad."

"Oh what has happened to your eye.. Well, we have the werewolf, let's get you home to take care of that quickly."

"Dad.. let him go."

"What?"

"I said to let him go.."

"He took your eye out son! And he would just as well have taken your whole head off! He's deranged."

"No. Something has happened to him. I know him. He would ever have done this." I said, my father glaring at me. He told the others to load Oikawa onto one of the wagons. I watched as Oikawa groaned in pain as they dragged him off. I went to follow when my dad put his arm in front of me, keeping us behind the others.

"The world is safer with those creatures all dead, Hajime."

"No it isn't, and they're not all dead yet. And I'm going to save that one."

"What for, he'll never be cured."

"How do you know?"

"Because I can just keep infecting him, over and over and over again. I can let him rip you to bits to show you I'm right. That they're monsters."

"...Infect him.. You.. you were the one that was making them go mad?"

"Not just me. There're many others. But it's for the better." My dad said with a smile. I clenched my fists. I looked over to where the men threw Oikawa onto the wagon back.

"...Have you even been home.. dad?"

"No, we have been out hunting boy."

"...Have you seen mom."

"You know, what are you doing all the way out here. You should be at home takin' care of your mother."

"I was. She was in terrible, terrible pain. I spent every last bit of money you would give me to give her medicine to try and even let her sleep through a night without waking up in pain while YOU were out doing what you liked."

"I was out making the world safer for everyone."

"Right. And thanks to you. Mom died in pain."

"...She died?"

"Yes. But you don't care. Do you? You never did."

"Hajime, that is no way to speak to your father. I did Love her, very much."

"Then prove it to me."

"What?"

"She Told me to go find that werewolf. His name is Oikawa... She told me to go find him and save him, because I love him."

"....!"

"..And if you want to prove to me you aren't just some fucking, selfish bastard. Then let me save him." I said, my father staring at me before gesturing to the wagon. I walked past him and climbed onto the wagon with some effort. Slowly, I took my hand off of my eye. I couldn't open it, and the pain was immense, but I ignored it and gently pulled Oikawa's head to my lap.

He whimpered slightly, looking at me for mercy like a wild animal who knew he was beat. I grabbed the mixture Kageyama gave me and gently took the lid off and Brought it to Oikawa's mouth. He tried to resist me until I spoke to him.

"Please Oikawa... I need you to come back to me." I mumbled, Oikawa growling before slowly opening his mouth. I took the opportunity to quickly pour the mixture into his mouth. He swallowed it, coughing and whimpering for a few moments before going quietly, like he passed out. After a couple minutes he opened his eyes slowly.

"Oikawa?"

"...Iwa-chan...?" He said in barely a whisper. I smiled, pulling the net off of him. He was quick to sit up and look around before looking at me, tears flowing as he looked at my eye.

Oikawa's POV

What have I done...! I couldn't help but cry as I cupped Iwa-chan's cheeks. Oh my god his eye.. I did this to him. He smiled faintly and put his hands over mine.

"Iwa-chan... I'm so sorry..! I don't blame you if you hated me..!" I cried out, Iwa-chan pulling me closer and pressing a soft kiss to my lips.

"I could never hate you.. it wasn't you who did this."

"Y-you need to go get that taken care of... before it gets worse." I said quietly, Iwa-chan turning his head to look over at his, father???

"Take us to the nearest village." He said, his dad seeming a bit angry and reluctant, but agreed. I stood up shakily and looked around.

"I need to go find Yui first. I'll come find you.."

"Oikawa, are you sure?"

"Of course. I need to know she's okay."

"Alright.. She should be further south. That's where I told her to hide." Iwa-chan said. I nodded, running off quickly to go find my daughter. As I approached closer to where my den was, I called out Yui's name.

"Daddy!" She cried out, tackling me from out of nowhere. We both fell into the snow as she held onto me while sobbing. I put my arms around her tightly, my tail curling over her as well.

"I'm okay baby. I'm right here. I'm so.. so sorry." I said as she cried. She sniffled, looking around quietly.

"Where's Iwaizumi..??"

"...Come on. Let's go see him."

"Daddy, your arm.." She said as I looked over. I hardly felt the wound left by that arrow. My entire body was running in an insane amount of adrenaline. Guess this was another good reason to get to the nearest village. I struggled a little bit, but I managed to pick Yui up and carry her.

She buried her face into my chest, hanging onto me for dear life. I kissed the top of her head as I walked. I'm glad I was finally in control of myself again.. but what I did to the ones I love is irreversible... I felt like a monster.
