It stood over nine feet tall, staring down at me with large golden eyes. It growled, not out of rage but of hunger. I held out a piece of the bacon I'd had for breakfast that morning. It gently took the meat and devoured it, its jaw seeming to split apart. It looked up at me, and to my astonishment it was no longer a creature but a boy my own age.
