Levi Pov

"Don't lie to me, Lexi. I know that that's not what you're thinking about when you give Furlan and Isabel that depressed look." I grunted.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Levi. What else would I be sad about?" Lexi said, feigning innocence.

Anyone else would've believed her. But not me. Not now.

I pulled out the second-hand knife that I used on a daily basis, not wanting to use the gift I'd gotten from Furlan for such... demeaning actions. Lexi's eyes widened as I placed the knife at my neck.

"L-Levi? What're you-?!"

"You either tell me, or I have your room painted red." I threatened.

Of course, I had no intentions of harming or killing myself. And I didn't want to have to threaten her like this. But something told me that I had to know. That it would be better if I knew.

Lexi moved to stop me, but I halted her movements by placing the knife close to my neck.

"Tell me," I ordered.

"I told you, I'm just missing my family and friends-!"

"No. This is something else."

"It isn't, I swear!! please put the knife down, Levi!! Why are you displaying symptoms of suicide all of a sudden when there weren't any traces of it for the past year?!" Lexi whisper-shouted, face paling from fear.

"Just think of it as my second birthday gift, Lexi," I said, giving her a smirk.

Lexi took a deep breath, then let it out in a heavy sigh. She put her small notebook and pencil away, pulled at her hair angrily, then faced me again with an aggravated grunt.

"Fine, I'll tell you. I was planning on telling you, just... not this early in the series." She commented, before holding her hand out towards me.

"Give me all the weapons on your body. Now."

I handed her the knife, the butterfly knife from Furlan, and the extra dagger that I carried around for emergencies. After placing the items behind her, Lexi faced me and let out another heavy sigh.

"I'll start from the beginning."

"Good. I'm listening."

"You better be, because I won't be explaining this twice."

"First off, I'm not from a different, advanced civilization outside of the Walls. I'm from a different world."

I took a moment to let the information sink in. Was it possible for her to be from a different world? The letter said so, and it certainly explained her strange belongings, different language, and the way she appeared in a ball of light. But what if it was just a complex, detailed conspiracy or government experiment?

"Beliving me or not is your choice. You saw my belongings, and you know that I had trouble because of the language barrier when I first arrived. There is nothing else I can do to make you believe my story." She said, before continuing.

"In my world, there are forms of media other than newspapers. A manga, which is a cultural picture book from a nation called Japan, is one of them."

I raised an eyebrow. How did this relate to anything?

"In one of the many mangas, is this world's story. How this world was created, who the main characters are, how they react, and what their journey is. So on and so forth."

My eyes widened. This world is nothing but a mere storybook in her world? ...There's no way. I thought, frowning. But Lexi was as serious as ever. She meant every word that she was saying.

"You, Isabel, and Furlan are just one of the many characters in the series. I don't know how I got here, but I suspect that Zeke has something to do with it." She confessed.

"Zeke... the man who wrote the letter in your bag?"

"Yes. He's... one of the more important characters. If I want to get home, my best bet is to meet up with him. But he doesn't come in contact with you or the main characters until quite later in the series."

"Series... so you're saying that my life here, this world that we live in, is nothing but a story in your world? And that you know how the story goes- and therefore the future?"

"...Yes."

"What do you plan on doing with that information?"

"Nothing. My sole purple is to get home."

"You could save or condemn so many people. But you aren't going to use the information to do something about this shit of a world?"

"I could, but my goal is to make you happy and to save who I can without destroying the plot. But I'm not of this world. I'm not supposed to be here. My presence itself could have changed this world already."

Cold dread filled my heart.

"So I have to go to where the action happens. I'm going to join the Survey Corps, gain a position of enough power for myself, and make sure that the plot doesn't screw itself over."

The new information bombarding my head felt like pins and needles. So many mixed feelings arose in my mind as I processed the news.

Lexi confessed!! But whether this proves to be a wise move? Who knows.
