~Beam~

The day is finally here!!! The Moon and Star competition. I have all my outfits ready and my guitar is tuned. " Beam, you go on after Ming for the talent show" said one of the coordinators. I was starting to feel nervous, because I knew after tonight P'Forth would want my answer. I've been considering what Ming had suggested, which was to give up both guys.

Frankly, I am not sure of my own emotions anymore. I watched as Wayo performed his song, he did really well. Then Ming did his Thai boxing routine, and the crowd wend wild after. Then it was my turn, I walked to the center of the stage with a spot light in me. Then I strum my guitar, then heard some woos and giggles. Then I cast my sight into the car crowd while I played. I saw P'Pha and P'Kit listening with a smile, then I made eye contact with P'Forth.

He looked at me with out a blink of an eye, it was almost as if we were the only two in the entire auditorium. We shared a moment, and his smile warmed my heart. Perhaps P'Lam was right, perhaps my infatuation with him was because I confused him for P'Forth. Perhaps.... my thoughts dwindled away, as I noticed the familiar figure by the entrance.When I looked toward the back of the auditorium, I noticed P'Lam 😳. He came, as our eyes met, he smiled then walked out.

~Lam~

Today is the Moon and Star competition, and I had decided not to attend. Truth is, I didn't sleep last night. I kept replaying N'Beam's confession to me, how I wish it wasn't Forth but someone else. I sighed, the loaded my luggage's into my car. I had every intention to drive to the resort where the Sotus closing was being held. Instead, I went to the auditorium where the Moon and Star competition was being held. It won't hurt to catch N'Beam's performance before I leave.

I arrived there right when N'Ming was finishing up his routine. Then a spotlight was at the center, and the room was dim lit. Next, N'Beam walk center stage. * my beating heart, be still 🥰* He looked so handsome, those piercing eyes of his. That were accompanied with those stiletto lashes. He looked just perfect on that stage.

I watched as girls woo, gush, and left roses 🌹 for him. Then his eyes started wandering about the auditorium, where he focused his sight on one spot. Of course it was Forth that had captured his attention. In fact, it was always Forth that had his heart. This was the confirmation I needed to jolt me back to reality. Time to completely burry these feelings, I wish you two nothing but happiness. I thought 💭 as I walked away.

~Forth~

Beam's performance was perfection, so I was not surprised when he took the popularity vote. In the end, N'Ming was named the moon of the campus. " Hey Moon, we still have SOTUS closing to attend" said Max when we went to the back room to congratulate the winner. All the other contestants were packing up to leave as well. I searched the room for N'Beam, I knew I had asked him for his response today. But that can wait, because I wanted to bask in the moment we shared when he was on stage.

There's no way, that what I felt wasn't mutual. " You need help with your bags?" I asked approaching him from behind. " Ummm... P'Pha is going to help with it. Don't you have to head out for SOTUS?" He asked. I bit my bottom lip, contemplating on asking what I had in mind. Then, N'Ming came over to where we stood. " P'Forth, is it okay to bring my boyfriend to the resort. That's the least I could get for becoming Moon 😅" Ming asked.

Sotus closing is not some get away resort, why would he want to bring his boyfriend. Above all, he is a freshman and they are not allowed such privileges. " C'Mon!!! Let the kid bring his boyfriend, we plan on having a party for him there" Max said walking up next to me. Seems like the decision was already made for me, then I asked Beam. " Ummm... So.. would you like to come to the Sotus closing too?" I asked not expecting much, but then he said " Sure, Phana and Wayo will be celebrating. I don't want to be alone".

So, Max and the other Hazers rode with the Freshman on the bus to the resort. While Beam and I rode in my car. We had to drop his stuff in his dorm, and also for him to pack a weekend bag. All this while, not much words have been said between us. He was being coy all of a sudden, then he finally asked. " Would I be getting my own room?"-Beam. Oh 🙁, I was under the impression that he would room with me.

" Nong, the place is booked to the maximum capacity. I don't mind sleeping on the coach while you take my bed. But it's actually a big bed, like King size 😏" I said with a smirk. This made him giggle, why is he suddenly acting shy? I swear I see a new side of him that entice me every time. I also knew this was the best time to ask for his response. " ...Beam..." I called out his name to get his full attention. " Have you given us a thought? Or, you still torn about the other guy?"

Suddenly, my nerves were getting to me awaiting his response. " It seems my feelings were one sided... and... I don't think I am ready for a relationship"- Beam responded. At that moment, I really wanted to ask if it was Lam. But, I bit my tongue; instead I nodded and smiled at him. " Well, that sounds like good news for me. Henceforth, I am courting you. You don't have to claim me as your boyfriend... Yet" I said and we both laughed but I meant it.

~Beam~

That was definitely P'Lam I saw at the auditorium, I thought as I grabbed my bag out of Forth's car. I noticed P'Lam giving out instructions, he had his back to us. So he didn't notice my presence nor that of P'Forth. Then, P'Forth said, " give me your bag Beam, the freshman will carry it to the room"-P'Forth. At the mention of my name, I noticed P'Lam quickly turned over to our direction. I froze in place, and my heart started palpitating. It might have been a bad idea to come here after all.

" Ai'Lam, this is Beam Baramee. My soon to be boyfriend" P'Forth introduced me to Lam. I suddenly forced a smile, and pretended this was my first time meeting him. " Nice to meet you Phi..." I said. He looked at me in silence for a while, then gave me a smile giving me his hand to shake. " Nice to meet you to Nong.." he said and let go of my hand.

He proceeded to talk to Forth, completely disregarding me. They talked about SOTUS stuff, I felt my face heat up. If I could crawl under a rock right now, I would.  " Beam! Can you keep P'Kit company for a while. We will be having a meeting before the party and you know Kitty. Swaddee P'Lam..." Ming came to my rescue. I followed him to the lobby, where P'Kit was chatting with some other guys. " Thank you Ming, I owe you one" I said. " Yes you do.. YES YOU DO" he said.
