Thirty-Nine

~Park~

I came back to fight for Lam, and giving up will defeat my purpose. I'll keep showing him, instead of telling him why he should take me back. So when I caught wind that he was heading back to the city, I got out of bed and drove to his place. I picked up food from our favorite restaurant, and waited until he pulled up. He glared at me, but it was expected. I was just going to follow his lead.

He didn't respond when I spoke to him, left me outside and proceeded inside. But in mere seconds, he returned and asked  me to come inside. *This is it Park, fix this. He is giving you a chance * Out of excitement, I walked in and hugged him from behind. " I've missed you Lammie..." again I was met with silence, but the good thing was he didn't reject my hug. I let go of him, and walked over to the kitchen to grab plates for the food.

" Mew said Forth was not feeling well. Is he better now?" I asked trying to make mall talk and lighten the mood. Yet again, I was met with crickets. I took a deep breathe and set the table for us. He just concentrated on unpacking his luggage. " Dinner is ready... leave that, I'll help you do that afterwards"- I said. " I can do it myself, why are you here Park? I thought you were done begging for me to come back to you"-Lam said still taking things out his luggage.

" Was that what you want? For me to give up? Do you think that little of me Lam?" I asked but he still had his back to me. " Well you did Park! You did when you denied me a say in OUR RELATIONSHIP. You leave when you please, and return when you please. And during all that, you expect me to behave as if nothing happened? Oh!!! How about the fact you broke my heart!!!" - Lam. I stood in silence, seeing the hurt in his eyes.

" I was wrong for it... Perhaps, it took a while reach that conclusion. But I couldn't have you leave your life, to follow me as I chased my dreams Lam! T-that would have been unfair to you!" I said trying to reason with him. Trying to get him to understand why I made the decision I made. " I might be younger, but I'm not stupid Park. Did you for. Moment thought maybe that was what I wanted? You were my WORLD!!! And I was going to follow you till the end of time. THAT WAS HOW MUCH YOU MEANT TO ME!!!😭" he said in tears.

I walked closer to hug him, but he stopped me. " No!!! You just can't show up and hope things goes back to normal!!!" Lam yelled. " THATS NOT WHAT I WANT LAM! PUNISH ME!!! DO AS YOU WANT WITH ME!!! BUT I KNOW WHAT I LOST BEFORE, AND I'M NOT LOOSING YOU AGAIN!!!" I yelled my frustrations. " ... Now if you are completely done with me... I'll let you go... but!! Even if an ounce of you feel anything for me. Then give me a chance, allow me to court you again. Give me a chance to shower you with my love. Because, I love you enough for the both of us"

~Lam~

I froze in place listening to Park sob and yell his frustrations. I saw sincerity and felt the genuine compassion from his words. I want to hate him so bad, but my heart deceived me. Then he walked closer, with tears still drenched on his face. " Do you feel nothing at all for me?..." he asked . But I was still bemused, I just stood in silence. Then he grabbed his keys, and leaned in to kiss me on the forehead " You are the only person I've ever loved... for what is worth, I doubt I could find anyone as you. I am sorry I blew it..." -Park. Then he walked towards the door to leave.

Before he could turn the knob, I blurted out " IS THAT IT!!! You just- just going to leave?". Now with the tears I've been holding back, pouring out like the monsoon. Park turned and smiled, "... why are you smiling? You said all that, then decide to leave?" I asked. Next, He threw his keys on the table and walked towards me. When he got closer, he wiped my tears with his hand. " No!! I was going to come back tomorrow and do this all over again 😏." He said with a smirk.

" You a lot of nerve smiling... what makes you think you are off the hook?" I asked. He pulled me closer so my body was against his, then whispered "... this was the OUNCE of hope I needed. You are going to have to do more than yell and ignoring me for me to give up now. I will be stuck to you like glue" -Park. And he wasn't lying, because I tried moving away but held me tighter. Then kissed me on the forehead ahead again, " ... and I meant what I said about courting you again. I want to deserve you, and I'll work on it . Until I'm the only one who has room here.." he said pointing at me heart.

" You are so cheesy!!!" - I said to hide my excitement. "Hahahaha, if I recall well, that's what you like about me.  But I'll take my leave now, I'll pick you up for lectures tomorrow"- Park said, and kissed me on the forehead again. I took a deep breathe, when he walked out the door. *Who was I kidding? I love this cheesy man...*

~Beam~

" Hi Nong! You are here... come over so I can introduce you to the guys"-P'Tharn. I decided to take him up on his offer, so I decided to at least join them for one rehearsal. But above all, I needed a distraction from all that have occurred recently. " this is Techno, Lhong... our keyboard player Cir is not here yet. And guys this Beam, he will be playing guitar"-P'Tharn.

" Well, I just wanted to try out to see if I'm a good fit" I responded. " He is being modest, I've seen you play at the Moon and Star. You are a great player... here we are rehearsing for Phana's party"-Techno said. Oh so these guys know of Wayo's surprise party. I rehearsed with them, I'll be lying if I said I didn't have fun. After rehearsal, Tharn offered to take us all for dinner. When we arrived at the Korean restaurant that I had frequent with both P'Forth and P'Lam. My excitement dwindled a bit, then I was faced with a familiar figure.

Entering the restaurant as well was P'Forth. I suddenly felt nervous. I have not seen him since we parted ways at the beach. I wasn't ready to face him, so I quickly told P'Tharn. " Sorry Phi... I just got an emergency text. I have to go" I lied. " Oh really... you can't stay for dinner?"he asked and I shook my head No. when I heard Techno call out to Forth. I wanted to disappear into thin thin air, but then our eyes met.He smiled at me as Techno walked up to him. I hate to admit it, but him smiling made me feel uneasy. " I'll see you tomorrow Phi... goodbye" I said to P'Tharn and hurried back to my car. * Why did he smile?*
