~Lam~

For the entire weekend, I kept checking my text messages to see if N'Beam texted. But I didn't want to seem desperate. Monday morning, I am on campus and everyone is talking about the fight. " Dude, how is Forth doing? When is he coming back to school"- Pete asked as we walked into the building. " He is fine!!! But don't know how he would be after his father is done with him though. He will be back on Friday" I replied.

At that moment, a Mercedes Benz pulled up at the entrance of our building. At the passenger seat was N'Ming, the current Moon of Engineer. In the driver seat was N'Beam. " Well I'll be damned!!! The new freshman really have some handsome guys."-Pete stated, obviously referring to N'Beam. And he wasn't lying because his Instagram pictures did not do him justice. The way his face lights up, like a beam when he smiles. Those set of eyes and lips.* He has really peaked my interest *

My gaze couldn't look pass that smile and bubbly personality as he waved to his friend who was walking towards us. "Swaddee Phi's..."-N'Ming greeted us when he came closer to where we stood. "Shiaaas!!! Nong! Who is that handsome guy? Does he swing this way" Pete asked. N'Ming just smiled and replied " ...that you have to ask him". They kept conversing, but my eyes just followed the boy that I spent all night texting with. He didn't even look my way when he drove off. Perhaps, he didn't notice me here?

" Lam!! Lets go check out the Moon and Stars after SOTUS!! No wonder , Max almost got killed. The new FRESH MEAT, are of a different grade"-Pete said nudging me on the side.  " Oh yeah! We definitely should... but how would your boyfriend feel hearing you say that?" I said nodding towards Kao who was standing right behind him. " Fresh MEAT!!!... what am I chopped liver?"-Kao yelled at his boyfriend over hearing our conversation.

I simply just walked passed them to go to class as they argued among themselves. But I'll go to the practice today, perhaps 🤔 N'Beam didn't see me. I need to formerly introduce myself to him. Forth is right, I need to move on from P'Park. And I couldn't think of a better person to take my mind off him, than Beam. This afternoon, I'll initiate a conversation with him.

Upon arriving at the auditorium, there was no N'Beam in sight. I kept looking around, when N'Ming walked over to greet me. This kid had all the stars flocking over to him, but he seem disinterested. Almost as if, he walked over to avoid them. We chat about Sotus, and becoming a Hazer. He showed interest in becoming the next hazer, and frankly I couldn't think of a better head hazer. Then,I heard a voice call out for N'Ming.

It was him, Beam!!! He had a huge smile on. While strutting over to where we stood. He greeted both of us. *Say something Lam! It is either now or never! Why the sudden change in him? Is he no longer interested in me?* So I gathered up some courage and asked "How have you been N'Beam?". He looked surprised that I knew his name, then he responded with "Swaddee Phi... Ming..."-N'Beam. Then he turned his attention to his friend. Perhaps, this was not the person I texted with. I felt like I just humiliated myself, grinning and cheesing like a clown. I couldn't stand any more embarrassment so I headed home.

~Beam~

" What is eating you up Ming?" I finally asked when I pulled him to the side. "Nothing!... I'm..." he paused mid- sentence, glancing in the direction of Wayo, P'Pha and P'Kit. Then forced a smile on his face, and said " I am fine Beam... but you might not be if you keep flirting with my seniors" he said changing the subject. I looked him in the eyes, ignoring the latter of his sentence. " You would tell me if something is wrong, RIGHT?!" I asked out of concern. He gave me a weak smile and stated " nothing that a night out drinking won't fix hahaha. I'm fine Beam, don't worry about me"-Ming.

After, the Moon and Star rehearsal, I checked my phone to see whether P'Forth had text me. I know we have a date on Friday, but I actually enjoy texting with him. So when I got back to my dorm, I sent him a text. "Guess who finally finished season six of Game of thrones!☺️" * SEND* I waited on his response, but there was none. A minute or two had passed by and yet he had not responded. Then, I checked my phone. And it showed he had read it.

I took a deep sigh 😔, why has he left me on read. So I sent him another text, "Are you ignoring me Phi Lamb 🐑 🥺" I texted him being cute by stating our inside joke. Then there were sudden bubbles indicating he was typing 💬 *Yes!!! He is typing, I knew that would get your attention* I was all smiles until I read his response, "What kind of games are you playing Nong?"- He texted. My hear dropped, did I do something wrong? We haven't texted since his DM on Instagram. I stated at my phone, trying to make sense of his comment.

I was hanging out with Pete and Kao at the house when N'Beam sent me a text. I was confused when I received his text. " Why that look on your face? Does P'Park want you back? Hahaha" Pete asked teasingly. Kao just rolled his eyes, and responded
" Leave him alone, why are you so nosy?"-Kao. Again, they went back and forth with their bickering. My initial instinct was to ignore the text, but then Beam followed up his text asking if I was ignoring him. " What game is this kid playing???" I said out loud, frustrated.

" Hey, Lam is it cool if we sleep here? My boyfriend is in heat! " -Pete said earning him a smack on the head. Next, he hauled Kao over his shoulder and headed upstairs. These fuck like bunnies 🐰 smh. "What should I do to prove I am not playing games with you?"-N'Beam texted back. Honestly, this boy makes my heart flutter. I looked at the clock and it was almost 9pm. So I replied " Come over to my house... I want us to talk in person" I responded. I watched as the bubbles showed up indicating he was typing 💬 "...Cool, I'll se you in 30 minutes." He replied.
