OLIVIA

"Why...are you here?" My voice was hoarse from what had just conspired.

As my vision cleared, I couldn't understand why he was standing before me.

The man who had saved me sheathed his sword, then reached an arm out to me.

Wordlessly, I took it and he lifted me up from the ground.

"You have to leave quickly,"

He told me.

"In a few minutes, this place will become a full-blown battlefield."

"How do you know that?" I gradually regained my balance, then pulled away from him.

His following words made me freeze.

"The Aquas know that you know."

My widened eyes moved up to his.

"How..."

Then it clicked in my head.

"You're not..."

His gaze moved away from mine.

"Leave before it's too late. Reinforcements will arrive soon."

He stepped away from me, turning around, but I grabbed him by his shoulders and forced him to look at me.

"Renjun!" I gripped tightly onto him. "Tell me what happened. You're not someone who would do this."

Despite my pleas, he peeled my hands away.

"This is your last chance. I'm only returning a favour." He warned.

He turned away again.

But there was no way I was letting him off.

I reached for his sheath, pulling out his sword in one smooth motion and pointed it towards his back.

"Explain yourself. What do you mean by they know?"

I noticed how he balled his hands into fists.

In a softer voice, I tell him,

"If you're still my trusted friend, please don't make me do something I would regret."

After a few moments, his fingers relaxed. He never turned around, though.

"...The knights that went along with His Majesty. They're part of the Aquas,"

What? The Aquas, they're...

"Which means right about now, the King...is probably dead."

I nearly dropped the blade I held.

No. Think clearly...Olivia.

"That's why I'm telling you to run. Before news of the King breaks out and put you in danger."
