Hurricane POV

I couldn't believe it, I'd been pretty busy with stuff at the mechanics the last couple of weeks so I hadn't gotten a chance to ask Ember out again, I wasn't taking no for an answer and then, as though she could read my mind she just showed up! And she said yes, I was over the fucking moon!

But then I had to decide where to take her? I decided on a nice Italian restaurant in town. I phoned up and made the reservation and decided to sort my shit out.

I showered, tidied up my hair and beard and threw on a pair of black jeans, a black button up shirt, black combat boots and my cut.

I made my way across the street to Embers house and knocked on the door, Jake answered and told me she wouldn't be too long so I asked how school was going and if he was settling in alright. I know he's made friends because I've seen him hanging out with Bullets son.

We heard her before we saw her and holy fucking shit! She looked stunning, I've never seen anyone more beautiful in my life! Speak you dickhead! Say something and stop staring!

"You look.. wow! I mean, just. Wow" I could hear Jake snickering beside me, little turd!

Her make up wasn't too heavy, her hair straight, and the silk dress she wore clung to every curve of her body, I couldn't help but imagine what it would feel like to run my hands over every inch of her body.

"Thank you" she replied shyly, a light blush covering her cheeks "shall we go?"

I cleared my throat "sorry, yeah"

We said our goodbyes to Jake and headed out the door but not before we heard him shout

"Wrap it before you tap it!!" I looked down at her and she looked mortified, I just chuckled.

We get to the restaurant and just before she steps out of the truck I open the door for her, giving her my hand to use. She gives me a grateful smile and I lead her inside with my hand pressed lightly on the small of her back.

Opening the restaurant door, the hostess directs us to a table for two next to the window, I pull her chair out for her and she grins at me.

"So....?" She asks once we've sat down and ordered our drinks

"So...? Where are you from?"

"UK, a little town on the coast" she smiles

"I see, so what brought you all this way?" She looks hesitant to answer and clears her throat before she does

"My Mum passed away" she says glancing down

"Oh, I'm really sorry"

"It's fine, are you ready to order?" She peeks at me over her menu and I nod in reply

I order a risotto while Ember goes for a pizza, I raise an eyebrow at her

"What?"

"Pizza?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty messy with spaghetti and I didn't want to embarrass myself" I just grin at her

"So, tell me more about you. And Jake obviously" she smiles at the mention of his name

"I'm not sure there's much to tell really. I'm 27, hate spiders, love flowers aaaaand..." she taps her chin with her index finger, clearly thinking of something else

"I think that's it for me. Jake though. He's 14, loves playing those silly PlayStation games, hates olives but secretly loves watching chick-flicks with me" she winks at me and I chuckle
"He's the kindest most considerate teenager I think I've ever met, he actually chose my outfit for this evening, and convinced me to go out with you"

"See, I knew I liked that kid"

"And what about you, President Hurricane?"

"Well, I'm 32, love motorcycles and my family. Hummm, what else.... I like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain" I grin

"And I suppose you're not into yoga?" She quips back while trying not to laugh, I just send her a cheeky wink

Our meal arrives shortly after the conversation and the rest of the evening passes with light chit chat. I catch her staring at me a couple of times but she quickly averts her eyes.

As we're leaving the restaurant, Embers phone rings

"Hey Jakey" she smiles, I can't hear the other side of the conversation but I do notice that her body language changes and her smiles fades a bit "Ok baby.. no that's fine.. have a nice time. I love you"

"Everything alright?" I ask as I open the car door for her, she just nods..

We drive for around five minutes before she speaks up

"It's just that... god, this is going to sound ridiculous"

"No, go on. I'm sure whatever you're feeling is completely justified" I glance at her, giving her a reassuring smile and avert my eyes back to the road

"Jake's staying at a friends tonight. Which is no problem at all, I'm so happy he's made friends quickly and Cal seems like a really nice boy....."

"But...?"

"But, I've never stayed on my own before. Ever since he was born it's been me and him, he's never had a sleepover anywhere before" she says looking down at her hands that are placed in her lap
