"Smile more. Dad wouldn't want you to not be."
"I know. But it's hard y'know?"
"I know. Dad would want to see your smile from up there though."
She's right. He would. I guess I'll try to more. I guess I'll start now.
"Do you want to do something J?"
"Like, the two of us?"
"Yea." I smile.
"Sure. What though?"
"Hmm... what about going down to the music store and buy something your dad would like?"
"Sounds good."

Jewel and I picked out a song book of piano pieces from Grease. We think that he'd like that if he were here.
"Thanks."
"For what?"
"Telling me more about Dad on the way here."
"Awh, J, it's no problem. Love you lots sweets."

Carter-
"I'M A COWBOY, ON A STEEL HORSE I RIDE, AND I'M WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE!!" We all yell along with the Bon Jovi song playing through the stereo in the hotel suite.
"Wait, when's this ancient band from?" Hayden asks, and I laugh. "The '80's. They're not that ancient. You're ancient."
"Wanna bet on that Dad?" He raises an eyebrow, and I just shake my head in amusement.
