Chapter 14

Veronica is awake for while already but she keeps her eyes closed. She enjoys how Archie runs his fingers up and down her arm. His other is wrapped around her waist. Her back is against his bare chest.
Archie kisses the back of her head softly. "Mhh Ronnie, you're so pretty and so perfect. I love you" he whispers. Veronica bites her lip to keep herself from smiling. She pretends to be asleep so Archie keeps talking to her.
"I never felt so much for anyone ever before. I love you, you and Everleigh. I know I've only met her twice but shes so much like you. How can I not love her. She's adorable" he chuckles. "You two are so cute and kind and loving. I'm happy you're asleep because I'm sure what I will say next would scare you. What we have, we and Everleigh that's what I want the rest of my life to look like. Maybe I want more kids in the future. I know it's way too early to think like that or even say it out loud but I can't change the way I feel"

Archie's words make Veronica blushes deeply. She also thinks it's too early to say he wants this forever but on the other hand do you start a relationship when you know from the beginning this won't last forever?

He kisses the back of her head again. "I love you"

"I love you too" she whispers back and turns around to face him.
Archie's cheeks are even redder than hers. It makes her giggle. She puts her hand on his cheek before she places a little kiss on the tip of his nose.

"You're- you're awake?" he mumbles.

"Mhh"

"How much did you hear?"

"I was up before you were Archiekins" she giggles.

"This is embarrassing"

"No,no,no,no" Veronica says and rolls on top of him. Her hands rest on his chest. "It's adorable Archiekins. No one ever said things so sweet to me. Please never stop"

"Okay" he grins "you're perfect and I love you"

"I love you" she whispers before she leans down and connects their lips in a sweet kiss. Archie wraps his arms around her to keep her close. He flips them over and is now hovering over her. He kisses her again before he kisses her cheek and jaw a couple of times. "When do you want to pick up Everleigh?"

"Mhhh, around 2?"

"Is that a question?" he chuckles.

"Around 2!"

"Okay. Are you hungry?"

"Yes" she grins. She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him one more time. "Very hungry"

Archie smirks. He gets up, grabs Veronica's hand and pulls her up to her feet. They walk into the kitchen. He makes some scrambled eggs and toast with avocado while Veronica has her arms wrapped around his torso and her head leaned against his back.

It's 2:15 when Veronica knocks on her mom's apartment door. She squeezes Archie's hand and lets go when the door opens. "Hi mom" she smiles.

"Hi honey" Hermione says. She wraps her arms around her daughter and kisses her cheek before she gestures her and Archie to come in. Just as Archie wanted to introduce himself. Everleigh walks to the door. Her eyes widen when she sees Veronica.
