Cute, Jaemin thought as he turned around in his desk chair, staring at the girl lying asleep in his bed.
He had finished his school work for the night, ready to make some food. It was already pretty late and he knew the others would be coming back from their deal soon.
Soojung had been nice enough to take his medic shifts for the next while, just until Zhilan got better. From the looks of it though, the girl would be good to walk pretty soon, meaning that he would have to take his post again.
Jaemin got up from his seat, adjusting his blanket so that it cover Zhilan better before going out of his room to make some late night food.
As usual, the kitchen was slightly messy from whatever Chenle and Renjun had made earlier, so while Jaemin was waiting for his food to cook on the stove, he cleaned up.
Jaemin honestly felt like a mom with four kids, especially since Haechan and Jeno moved out. Renjun was pretty good at cooking and cleaning, but he had his moments. Chenle was an amazing cook but could be rowdy and messy at times. Jisung... well Jaemin had no comments on Jisung, espcially after he once heard the maknae ask Chenle if he needed soap to wash the vegetables.
Jaemin transferred the food into two bowls before bringing them to his room. A part of him didn't want to wake the sleeping girl up but lucky for him, the smell of food was enough to make Zhilan open her eyes.
Zhilan let out a loud yawn before stretching her arms. Thats when she realized that Jaemin was sitting right there by the bed, two bowls in his hands.
"Oh my gosh, you scared me." Zhilan exclaimed as she immediately sat up in shock. Jaemin couldn't help but giggle, helping her adjust her position before bringing the food over.
"Thank you." Zhilan said happily as she took the bowl and chopsticks from Jaemin's hands.
"Be careful not to get my sheets dirty." Jaemin reminded her, making her stop putting food in her mouth to give him a look.
"You don't say that when we're in my room." Zhilan pointed out.
"That's because those are your sheets, not mine." Jaemin said, grabbing his own bowl.
As Jaemin ate, he noticed that Zhilan had stopped, staring at him instead. "What?"
"You're not eating outside?" Zhilan asked.
"Are you kicking me out of my room?" Jaemin asked back.
Zhilan shrugged her shoulders. "You just normally don't eat with me."
"That's because most of the time you're sleeping when I'm eating." Jaemin pointed out.
"You can always wake me up." Zhilan told her as she began eating again.
"And face your potential wrath? No thank you." Jaemin said, leaning back in his chair.
Zhilan rolled her eyes, making Jaemin smile. "I don't think people get mad if you're giving them food, Jaemin."
Jaemin looked up, giving her a look. "You clearly haven't heard about Jeno."
Zhilan had finished first, putting her bowl to the side. She leaned forward, closer to Jaemin. "I'm curious, tell me all about it."
Jaemin shook his head, shifting his attention to his food. "It's a long story."
"Aww." Zhilan whined, a pout forming on her face. "Here I am with no entertainment, stuck in bed all day while you get too do whatever you want. I just wanted to hear a story since I've been so bored but no, you can't even do that for me."
