I rolled over and jumped out my skin when Connie's face was right in front of me. "AH! Connie, why??" I asked in my tired voice. "Because, someone in this room is 16 and it's not me!" She giggled. "OMG!I'M 16! LEMME GET READY!" I screamed as I ran off.
I went into the bathroom and started into my two (e/c) eyes thinking this queen is 16 years old! I showered,dressed and put my hair up in a sleek top bun. "Damn girl, I'm simping baad!" Connie teased "Come sit princess, lemme do your make up" I had never worn makeup before so I'm glad Connie didn't go all out. I looked in the mirror and saw a completely different girl. My makeup was a smokey eye with a cute winged liner. I only put a clear gloss on my lips, Connie wanted to put on lipstick but I convinced her I'll be okay without it.

Time skip
I sat in the hall and waited, I could see my parents across the hall and couldn't wait to hug them. They looked much older than I remember, its been 13 years since I last saw them. Finally, I saw 10X11 walk out of the office with her parents, celebrating her new job when the speaker called:
'10X12 and parents, please enter the office for your assignment'
Without hesitation, I bolted towards my parents and my mother burst into tears of joy "My baby! I missed you so much!" She whispered "I missed you too, mum" I whispered back I stood up straight and turned to my dad. "My girl, come over here let me get a good look at you!" He exclaimed I walked towards him and stood proudly in front of him,showing off my outfit. "Wow,just look at her! My beautiful baby girl, now a gorgeous, independent, grown young woman. I'm so proud of you baby." My dad praised "Dad, your making me tear up, I don't wanna ruin my makeup!" I whined playfully. He let out a laugh and gave me the best hug I have ever had in my life!
"10X12" a familiar voice spoke "Do you remember me? I've known you since you were 3 years old" the voice spoke. I turned and immediately remembered who it was. "Lavender pearl!" I squealed I walked over to her and gave her a hug. She was so kind to me when I was younger, she held me and wiped my tears when I cried, she sung me lullabies on my sleepless nights, she brought me and Connie snacks when we were being cheeky at night. She had my utmost respect forever. "Please,call me lavender,I've known you for a while now," She said softly. "It's time to get your assignment,I know that whatever you get, you'll be brilliant at it!" Lavender told me. My parents, lavender and I all stepped into the office. There was an amethyst at the table and when she saw me she exclaimed: "10X12! Long time no see,huh! You're that smart-alec from 13 years ago! Right, let's see what you got here" I remember how scary she looked when I was a kid, now she just looked like any other quartz soldier. "Now for the moment you have all been waiting for,your new job is..." The amethyst was cut off by the diamond communicator! We all gasped. If that goes off it means it's serious and one of the diamonds wanted something. The top half of the communicator spun and spun.
It's pretty common to get one from blue or yellow diamond, but rarely white diamond I thought to myself who will it be now?
The communicator stopped spinning and glowed a bright

I heard the screaming and squealing coming from the hall: " OMFG! STEVEN UNIVERSE!" 9Y6 screamed "I heard he's like, insanely hot!" 6X3 said and a huge group of girls started to squeal. "WAIT EVERYONE SHUT UP! IT'S STARTED!" I called out from the room I was in. To my surprise, everything went quiet except for a few girls whispering here and there.
The communicator opened to show a pink-tinted screen which read aloud what was on it in the voice of a common pearl:
His excellency Steven Universe has Declared that he needs the Following facets in his Palace effective immediately: 8J7 3Y12 9Y6 10F3 7G9 6X3 5K2 10X12 2B4 And 4Y7 Please can all the facets called follow the double topaz by the back entrance. Thank you
There was a silence before the hall erupted with noise: "OMG!I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO FAINT!"7G9 screamed. "Is this even real,am I dreaming? Somebody pinch me!"4Y7 squealed. I couldn't believe it! I was going to meet Steven Universe,son of Pink Diamond,the literal ruler of the galaxy! "Well aren't you the lucky one! Follow me!" Lavender said to me.
"(Y/N)!" I heard someone call out. I instantly knew who it was. "CONNIE!" I called. She gave me a huge squeeze. "You don't understand the levels of jealous I am of you right now! I'm glad you look so freaking good right now, could you imagine? Diamond salute in your PJ's!" We both burst out laughing but were interrupted by a double topaz. "Parents will wait outside the palace, come on girls let's go!"
"Well,guess this is by then,I have no idea when I'll see you again" I tell Connie giving her a huge hug "I guess it is,wear this outfit with pride, mkay? Everytime you put it on you'll remember all the good times we had together" She muttered and then pushed me out of the hug, pointing to the topaz "Now go and be great!"She shouted. As I walked away I heard her cheering me on: "YAAAS,YOU GO GIRL! KNOCK HIM DEAD! STRUT YOUR STUFF QUEEN!" I left the hall and walked with the other girls towards the palace.
