Most days, Orion felt like she was brave enough to defeat the sun; some days she felt like she couldn't even face the sun itself. However, today she somehow felt in between. She woke up feeling like everything was fine, she could get out of bed just fine, but she didn't even feel like looking at the sun.
She has been bored for the most part of her break, she refused Cassiopeia and Cepheus invitation to hang with their friends, they usually go to Zabini Manor or Malfoy Manor and stay for a few nights. However, Orion refused, she has never stayed in either the Zabini or Malfoy Manor, it would be too weird for her to do just that. Besides, after the courtyard incident, she did not want to face Draco, not before he apologizes for humiliating her in front of half the school. However, knowing Draco, there is no way he was going to apologize.
The only thing that has kept her going was her trip to Italy. They decided to go to Italy three days before school started, as it was the most convenient time for her Uncle Elijah. Elijah Mikaelson has been moving around for years, it was started on the night his brother died.
Orion sat in Klaus's study room along with Cassiopeia and Cepheus, writing back to their friends as they sipped their afternoon tea.
"Blaise is currently in Italy, he said he's moving to Verona, we could see him in two days," Cassiopeia said as she held her letter. "Orion, would you want to visit him? You haven't seen Mrs. Zabini yet, she was asking about you."
"Yeah, sure," Orion said without looking up from reading her letter. As long as Draco won't be there, Orion would not mind.
"Master Mikaelson is here," said Dimmy who appeared in the study room out of nowhere.
"Kol is here?" Cassiopeia asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"No, not Master Kol," Dimmy said in an anxious tone. "Master Elijah is here."
As soon as Dimmy said Elijah was in the Mikaelson Manor, the three of them dropped their letter and quill immediately as they stared at each other.
Elijah Mikaelson hasn't stepped into the manor in years, the last time he was there was also the last time he saw his brother alive.
"What? Is there something wrong?" Cepheus asked as he immediately stood up, but instead of answering, Dimmy immediately vanished from the study room.
"What the hell?" Cassiopeia murmured as she looked at Orion and Cepheus. "Does that mean that our Italy trip just got canceled?"
"Could be," Orion said. "Whatever it is, it must be important enough for him to set foot in this house again."
Not long after they all stood in silence, rambled in their own thoughts–imagining the worst scenario that could happen that brought their uncle home, the doors of the study room were slammed open with force.
Elijah walked into the room with Marcel and Rebekah following behind him.
"Elijah, let's talk about this first," Rebekah said as she gripped Elijah's shoulder.
"Orion," Elijah said sternly as he looked at the fireplace. "I need to talk to you."
"You two can go," Elijah said to Cepheus and Cassiopeia without looking at the two of them. "Actually, the four of you can go. This is the matter that I need to consult with Orion and Orion alone."
