Theoretically, in a war, there were three roles that people should obtain; the one who had to be the one with blood on their hands, the one who had to be the one cleaning up the blood, and the one who had to bleed. It was like a waiting game for who was going to get which roles.

Some people might just be unlucky enough to be the one who would have to be all three.

For once, strangely, the school did a good job of pretending that nothing happened or maybe they were just waiting patiently enough to determine which one of them would end up getting which roles.

Maybe because, for once, it finally felt real enough. No one had the guts to talk about the incident in the Ministry, at least not in front of Harry and his friends' faces. A few whispers in the bathroom here and there about what happened to Orion since the Daily Prophet made it their exclusive news for two weeks, a glorious front page about how 'Orion Mikaelson almost died, St. Mungo's Mediwitches gave up and did not know how to treat her' and 'The Mikaelson brothers raided the Ministry of Magic after niece almost died' was the main topic of their current headlines, not the exact words, they probably would have worded it with something more eye-catching and creative, but Orion did not have the desire to read them.

There was also a whisper here and there that Sirius Black did not die, that he disappeared because no one in the ministry could find his body, one of the students' uncles was a Spell Master who was working with the Artifact Master, were assigned to check The Veil, where they suspected Sirius went that lead him to his death. Yet, there was no trace of him; every death that went towards The Veil in the Death Chamber could be detected but Sirius'.

"No, but you don't understand, my uncle said it was impossible for him to have gone into the veil," Orion couldn't help but overhear someone on the other side of the bathroom, their voice echoed just behind the wall while Orion made her best not to make a noise.

Another chimed in as they let out a shrieking gasp. "Have you heard about what happened to Orion Mikaelson? Merlin's arse, some said she almost died," she said before asking her friend for a lip gloss. "I read from the Daily Prophet that she was strangled, and they used this weird spell that even St. Mungo's couldn't figure out," the sentence was let out with a loud groan, not wanting to prolong the dreadful topic anymore.

"Oh! Oh!" Another voice chimed, sounding all excited while her friends all let out an impatient 'What?' just as excited as the owner of the voice, Orion did not have to see them know that they were bouncing on their feet. "Did you know that Draco Malfoy made the Slytherin Quidditch Captain this year?"

"Oh my God, finally!" The other exclaimed. "You know how Madam Hooch sometimes assigns the Slytherin's Captain to teach Advanced Flying Class?"

One of them squealed. "That's what I thought when I heard the news! I hope Madam Hooch would be busy all year long so Draco would be assigned to us."

"Isn't he kind of an arse, though?"

The two of them laugh. "Who cares? He's bloody hot," one of them said in between their laughs. "Besides, he had been keeping to himself lately, super cold and cool and mysterious, which made him a thousand times more attractive."

"Cepheus Marcellous, though," another voice indicated, just as excited as before. "Oh, God. You have no idea how much I want to kiss him. Have you seen those biceps? Too bad I saw him with Cho Chang right before the summer break."

There was a pause, filled in with the sound of a running tap, before it stopped, along with the sound of the faucet being turned. "What did he see in Chang anyway? I mean, yeah, she's real pretty. But she seems like a prude."
