The morning breeze of the first day of December has always been Orion's favourite part of the year when it's already started to become colder but still not cold enough where it would freeze her hair and eyelashes to the point where it would be hard to breathe.

Orion was sitting with her Ravenclaw friends for breakfast when a package wrapped in a silver wrap was dropped in front of her, silk black ribbon was wrapped around it and a purple wax sealed with the Mikaelson crescent was the first thing that caught her eyes. It was from his uncle Kol. Orion immediately jolted her chin, looking up in the direction of Cassiopeia and Cepheus who also received the same packages for each one of them. They nodded together before the three of them put their packages inside their bags and immediately left the Great Hall, forgetting their breakfast altogether.

Kol Mikaelson, for the most part, has always been the fun uncle for the three of them. The day they were about to be sent to Hogwarts, he made sure his nieces and nephew knew his Longlife Code Ethics from The Fun Uncle; black silk ribbon packages are important, silver wrap means whatever is inside is a family business, the purple wax seal means it's private and is family restricted, and the last one and the only one that he never really had to sent is an all-black wrapped package means they are the only person that could see it.

Seeing that their packages were not all black means it's private but they could still share it together with each other, and seeing that he had to use his LCE and whatever–is what he usually called it–wrapping means it's secret, neither Elijah, Freya, or the twins' parents knew anything about this.

"What do you think it is?" Cepheus asked as he closed the door of one of the vacant classrooms that they entered.

"Let's just find it out," Orion said as she began to open the package, a leatherbound dusty-purple coloured book tied with a leather string was inside of it, along with two envelopes one was red and one was black.

She opened the black one first, meaning she was the only person that gets to see it. Not much was written in the letter.

Whatever happens, I'm on your side always.
If the twins ask, tell them what it is but don't let them see it.

Orion furrowed her brows, tracing her fingers on the embossing of the leather book that was written Davina Claire in front of it. The last time she was allowed to open any of her family's grimoire was when she was eleven, right before she went to Hogwarts, and now having the old leatherbound grimoire on her hand felt wrong, like she was not supposed to even touch it.

Orion opened the red one slowly, pulling out another short letter with her uncle's handwriting on it.

I hope school is fun, just remember to stick together. If any of your teachers have their hands on this grimoire, well, I'm counting on you to give them hell. Don't write back, I'll see you when you get home, Munchkin.

"What is that?" Cepheus furrowed her brows pointing to the book on Orion's hand.

"It's Davina's, I think it's her old grimoire, her name's still Claire here instead of Mikaelson," Orion answered him though she herself was unsure, Kol didn't say anything, just instructed her to not let the twins see the inside.

Orion tilted her head to let her gaze on the twins, both red and black envelopes were each on their packages too. Orion saw a piece of a cuff bracelet that Cepheus held, and before she could ask him he explained it himself.

"It's an arrow," he said while still looking at the bracelet. "He shrunk it and bent it into a bracelet."

"I got a necklace?" Cassiopeia raised the necklace in her hand, showing it to both Cepheus and Orion.
