Orion woke up with the sound of knocking behind her door.

She wanted to curse the hell out of the person behind it, it was 5 am, who knocked on someone's door at 5 am?

     Unfortunately, Elijah Mikaelson does.

Orion only opened her door halfway when she realised it was Elijah behind it, he stood in front of Orion, a mug of hot chocolate in his hand, and still wrapped in a suit. Apparently, Elijah Mikaelson also wore a suit at 5 am.

"What are you doing, Elijah?" Orion asked in a husky voice as she looked at Elijah. "Is there any accusation you want to make against me, again? What are you going to scream about this time?"

Elijah sighed as he put one of his hands, the one that wasn't holding the mug, in his pocket. "May I come in? I'm bringing your favourite. So, truce, maybe?" Elijah said with a soft smile.

Orion sighed as she rolled her eyes. "Yeah, my favourite when I was seven," she scowled but still opened her door and stepped aside to let Elijah in.

Elijah stepped in and walked towards the sofa in front of the fireplace and sat after he put the mug on the coffee table. Orion followed him silently from behind, her eyes were stilled, following Elijah's movement.

"Come here and sit, Orion," Elijah said as he twisted his head to look at Orion, he made sure to see his niece and took a good look, this time.

Orion let out a soft sigh as she took a seat beside him, Elijah grabbed the mug and passed it to Orion.

"I think it's quite cold, now. It's okay if you don't want to drink it," Elijah said, still taking a good look towards Orion.

"Don't tell me what to do," she said as she took a sip from the mug and Elijah immediately smiled.

"I would like to apologize for accusing you of something without asking you first," Elijah said in a soft voice, but this time he drifted his gaze towards the fireplace.

"I'm not going to say that it was okay, because it's not. I'm mad at you Elijah, we haven't seen each other in a, I'm not even sure, two years? And you rarely ever send me letters. Do you think I don't know that you've been sending letters to the twins regularly but not me?" Orion said as she looked at him. "And then when we finally saw each other, the first thing that you did was yell at me for something that I didn't even do."

Elijah looked at Orion this time, he looked at her straight in the eyes. Elijah couldn't help but smile, Orion reminded him of Klaus, a lot. The very best of Klaus was truly in her.

"But, I accept your apology, because I miss you, Uncle Elijah. I don't want you to shut me out. Do you think I don't know what you've been doing?" Orion asked him in a whisper. "Traveling the world for business?" she scoffed as she looked away.

"You think I don't know that you've been murdering every enemy that my father has ever made? To make sure they won't ever seek their revenge on Klaus' only heir?"

"Elijah, do you think I haven't heard the rumours about how Elijah Mikaelson has gone completely mad?" Orion furrowed her eyebrows, her voice was low, but seeing at how Elijah immediately shut his eyes, Orion knew she had struck him on the right pulse.

"I made a promise to your father that I would protect you, this is me doing my job," Elijah said in a stern voice, his jaw was constricted, it was clear that he was trying not to show any emotions.
