     Death.

Orion Mikaelson was no stranger to death. She made peace with death for quite some time now, even when death had taken so much from her. If death comes knocking on her door right now, Orion would serve him tea or coffee, whichever he preferred. They would talk about a lot, she wanted to ask out of all the souls he had taken, which one of them was the most painful one–not for them, but for him, which one of them was too painful to take?

Orion would guess his answer would probably be, taking children from their parents' grasp or perhaps taking the loved ones from their lovers.

She would also want to ask, which one of them was the easiest to take, was it the mass-murderers that brought so much pain to the people around them? Would it be the immortal that had lived his life for more than a thousand years, had caused agony in people because of the lack of care he had for the world around him? Well, maybe what Orion wanted to ask was, was it easy for him to take her father's life? Or maybe death even laughed in front of his face, mocking him as he grasped her father's soul in his hand–having the immortal's life on the palm of his hand, was it the easiest thing he had ever faced?

As much as Orion wanted to ask the question, Orion did not want to know what the answer was.

Death had taken so much from her, yet she and death were old acquaintances. No hard feelings, death did what death was supposed to do; Orion understood that perfectly.

"Orion, would you please come with me?" Orion heard Cassiopeia's voice from behind her, her tone was weary that Orion twisted her head the second she heard it.

"What's wrong, Cass?" Orion dropped her fork in an instance, forgetting her almost finished breakfast as she stood up. "Are you okay?" she asked again when she saw the look on Cassiopeia's face.

"Ceph and Draco are both in the infirmary," Cassiopeia answered, grabbing Orion's hand demanding them to hurry.

"What, why?" Orion couldn't help but ask once more as they both started to walk out of the Great Hall which was packed with students grabbing breakfast before taking their last exams.

"Montague wanted them to practice this morning, Higgs' purposely knocked Draco off of his broom which resulted in Cepheus hitting Higgs' head repeatedly with his bat."

     "What?"

Cassiopeia nodded her head vigorously. "I don't know how it started when I arrived at the field everyone was either trying to help Draco or trying to stop Cepheus from beating Higgs to death," she said between her breaths. "Do you know what the hell is wrong with Higgs and why Ceph is suddenly so furious at him, I thought it was just Draco?"

"I'll tell you later," was Orion's only explanation as they entered the infirmary. They were immediately met with the view of Draco who was sitting on the bed, crowded by Blaise, Theo, and Pansy while Terence was placed on the farthest bed from Draco who was placed on the bed nearest to the door.

"Cepheus just got out with Dumbledore to his office," Theo said to Cassiopeia the moment she arrived with Orion, standing in front of Draco who was looking bored while his left hand was bound up in a sling, still in his Quidditch sweater.

"What happened?" Orion asked no one in particular, jolting her chin, gesturing to Draco's injured arm.

"Fractured his arm," Pansy answered her when she saw Draco had no intention to answer Orion's question–not even, he looked like he had no intention to even look in her direction.
