To say that the atmosphere in the Great Hall immediately changed into chaotic after Professor Dumbledore announced that there would be an age restriction policy for those who wanted to participate, would be an understatement.
Everyone started booing here and there, quite pissed at the fact that most of them couldn't try to put their name into the goblet because Professor Dumbledore said he would draw an Age Line around the goblet before it's placed in the entrance hall.
Orion scoffed lightly, why were they so pissed that they couldn't enter the tournament? It's not like any of the underage wizards or witches have learned enough survival lessons for them to be thrown into a tournament that is not for the faint-hearted according to Professor Dumbledore himself. What are they going to do? Wingardium Leviosa themselves and hoped for the best? Yeah, tough luck.
"This is good," Padma said, pointing to the meal on her plate with her spoon.
"It's Bouillabaisse," Orion answered, nodding along agreeing with her.
"Excuse me, is it okay if we sit here?" asked a girl with blonde hair that fell almost below her shoulder, pointing to the vacant spot beside Orion.
"Yeah, of course," Orion said as she nodded and gave her an enthusiastic smile.
The girl waved her hand towards a group of Beauxbatons girls, gesturing them to come with her to sit at the Ravenclaw table. She went around the table to sit next to Padma instead, who was giving her the biggest grin as she took a seat.
"My name is Fleur Delacour," she said, her voice was soft, as she smiled at them.
"Hi, Fleur," Cho said softly. "My name is Cho Chang, this is Marietta Edgecomb, Padma Patil, and Orio–"
"I know you," said a girl before she took a seat beside Orion, cutting off Cho who was introducing them to Fleur.
Orion furrowed her eyebrows as she turned her head, facing a petite blonde girl who was grinning from ear to ear as she looked at Orion with big gloomy blue eyes–somehow seemed super happy to see Orion.
Claudette Beaumont. It was Claudette Beaumont, and she–somehow–recognised Orion despite the fact that they never officially met before. Didn't want to make her big-headed, Orion decided to pretend she didn't know her at all.
"Pardon?"
"You were at the Malfoy's Christmas Gala, right?" she asked, still with a smile before it turned into a frown in an instance, as if she just came to a realisation. "Did Draco not say anything about me?"
"Uh, no," Orion, once again, furrowed her eyebrows. This girl was already big-headed before Orion even could say anything. "Should he?"
"Maybe? I danced with him throughout the night, I thought he'd mentioned it," she trailed off quietly, her voice was laced with a hint of smugness, as if dancing with Draco was something to be proud of before her eyes lit up once again.
Lies, Orion thought. Draco went to his study room in the middle of the gala and disappeared for the rest of the night even when Orion was back at the ballroom with her cousins.
