Orion and Cassiopeia along with Rebekah arrived at the Manor right on time. They hated being late, Orion was grateful that they weren't an hour early, just like they usually would. They were just about to enter the ballroom when they met Marcel and Cepheus in front of the door, waiting for them.
"How was Paris? Got anything good for me?" Cassiopeia asked when she saw Cepheus leaning his left shoulder on the wall.
"Paris is Paris, just like the usual. I got you and Orion some macaron from Ladureè," Cepheus shrugged. "And by some I mean fifteen whole boxes of macaron," he continued and walked with them to the ballroom where they spotted Draco and his mother, Narcissa.
The Malfoy Manor ballroom has always been dark, however, in this time of the year, they put some floating candles all around, and the painting on the ceilings became visible. The ceiling has a painting of a dragon on it, who is always moving from one place to another. The dragon was flying in a dark green, a really dark green, actually, it almost looked like it was a black sky. Orion looked up and almost laughed, but then again, it actually looked good and sophisticated, after all, it is the Malfoy Manor. There are eight big chandeliers with dimmed light in the ballroom, Orion couldn't help but think how she never noticed that before.
"I swear to God, Narcissa is just getting prettier and prettier every single day," Cassiopeia said under her breath. Orion couldn't help but nodded at her words, because to be fair, Narcissa is one beautiful lady. Orion could've sworn she must have taken ballet when she was a teenager by the look of her posture.
They were just about to walk to Narcissa and Draco when Orion immediately pulled Cepheus behind. Cepheus nodded in agreement when he saw Orion, stepping back from his family to walk behind them with her.
"Ceph, thank you," Orion said with the most sincere tone, he looked at Cepheus whose eyes softened when he heard Orion's tone.
Cepheus nodded in answer, he pulled Orion to him and kissed her forehead. That was enough of an answer for Orion.
"Oh my, you guys look exceptional," Narcissa said gracefully when they all walked to her and Draco. "Lucius is there with some of the ministry people," Narcissa said, this time to Marcel who nodded at her words and immediately walked to where she pointed Lucius was.
"The pearls look good, don't they?" Draco asked Cassiopeia with a hint of smugness in his voice, he raised an eyebrow to point to the necklace and earrings that Cassiopeia were wearing. The three of them broke a foot away from Rebekah and Narcissa who seemed to be in a very much interesting conversation.
"I mean, they had to if they cost seven million, don't you think?" Cassiopeia laughed.
"Merlin's beard, you got them?" Cepheus chuckled, and his eyes widened, looking at the necklace and earrings while Cassiopeia tossed her hair lightly to give him a good view.
"Of course, I got them. I told you there is–"
"I swear to God, one day your pride will be your doom," Orion cut Draco off and rolled her eyes at him before he could finish his sentence, she refused to hear that sentence again.
"You mean knowing my worth?" Draco asked, his lips curled into a smirk, which, again Orion hated.
"I mean being arrogant," Orion said through her teeth, she was getting annoyed and they haven't even been there for more than fifteen minutes.
Draco narrowed his eyes at her, his jaw tightened at her words. But, then he let out a chuckle. He was about to say something when Lucius Malfoy appeared behind him, with a hand squeezing Draco's shoulder. He nodded at the three of them before he brought his lips to Draco's ear, whispering something to him. Draco's gaze immediately drifted from Orion to the main door of the ballroom, where a petite blonde girl wrapped in a peach coloured dress, walked into the room with a tall broad old man, who must be her father.
