Chapter 4: The Boulder

~Flashback To Before Wall Maria Fell~

Y/n's POV

Me, Eren, Mikasa and Armin were watching the Scout Regiment depart.

So cool.

"In battle Captain Levi is as mighty as an entire brigade" A person says. We look over to Captain Levi in astonishment. I notice he seems irritated though.

~Present Time~

"Kill..kill...kill" I hear Eren mutter. We all sweatdrop.

This is not good. They're gonna kill us.

"DID YOU HEAR THAT?! HE SAID KILL!" A soldier says

"It's a misunderstanding" I say

"ARE YOU A TITAN?!"

"Am I a titan..? NO I'M HUMAN!"

"YOU GUYS PROTECTING HIM! IF YOU DONT HAND HIM OVER. WE'LL HAVE YOU CHARGED FOR TREASON AND THEN HAVE YOU EXECUTED!"

We're gonna die.

"ARE YOU HUMAN OR ARE YOU A TITAN?!" Eren doesn't respond.

"WE SAW YOU COME OUT OF THAT TITAN! WHICH MAKES YOU AN ENEMY!"

"We should kill him while he's still in human form" Another soldier says.

"I will kill anyone who tries to hurt Eren" Mikasa says.

"Mikasa and Y/n are some of our best soldiers. It would be a great loss if they were slain" Dietrich says.

"We should flee" Armin says.

"What is going on?" Eren asks as he looks at his left arm.

"WHAT ARE YOU?!"

"I AM HUMAN!" Eren yells. The Captain must not have bought it.

"GET THE CANNONS READY TO FIRE ON MY COMMAND!" Mikasa grabs Armin and Eren.

"You guys need to flee. Me and Y/n have your backs" Mikasa says. I nod. They then aim the cannon at us and right before they fire, Eren bites down on his hand. As the smoke clears I see Eren partially transformed into a Titan and saved us all from the cannonball. We then watch Eren try to move but it fails.

"SOLDIERS STAND BY AND PREPARE THE CANNON FOR A SECOND SHOT!" Commander Woemann yells. I look up to see Eren getting out of the titan. He then walks over to us and the Titan begins to evaporate.

"I have two plans of escape. I become a fully-formed titan and return to Wall Maria. The basement has the answers to everything. Now I have to work alone" He says. I tear up.

"Oh yeah I forgot. You don't need us. We're holding you back" I say as I turn away.

"I'm not letting you do this alone" Mikasa says.

"I have a second plan. If Armin can persuade the Stationary Guard that I am mankind's ally, I will stay" Eren says.

"Why would you rely on me?" Armin asks.

"Had I not told Hannes to go after them... We'd all be dead" Eren says.

"I'll do it! I'll convince them!" Armin says. Armin walks towards the Stationary Guard.

"WHO ARE YOU?!" Woemann yells

"ARMIN ARLERT OF THE 104TH CADET CORPS! I'M HERE TO CONVINCE YOU THAT EREN JAEGER IS AN ALLY TO MANKIND! HE HAS STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE AND WE MAY EVEN BE ABLE TO RECAPTURE TROST WITH HIS POWERS!" Armin yells.
