Chapter 14: Saved

Ymir's POV

you're all stupid

"So what are we gonna do with Y/n?" I ask

"Obviously take her with us" Reiner says.

"She's too weak for that, she'll slow you down" I say.

"I don't care if she slows us down. I'm not leaving her here" Reiner says. I softly smile.

I feel the same way about Historia

"I see so what's the plan?" I ask

"We're taking you three to our hometown but only after nightfall. Our strength will have recovered and titans will be inactive." Reiner says. I nod.

"What about the titans at Utgard they could move. How are we sure these ones won't?" I ask

"I guarantee you, they won't. You should know this" Reiner says.

"Do you have any water? I'm thirsty" I ask.

"Sorry, we don't have anything for anyone.." Reiner says as he looks at the unconscious Y/n. He frowns.

"We've all been working constantly since yesterday morning. When we're done we should all get promotions" Reiner says.

I look at Bertholdt and he has a worried look on his face.

"What's wrong with you?" I ask.

"Thanks for finding the cannon back at Utgard. You helped Y/n out a bunch. I should thank Y/n as well, she's saved me multiple times" Reiner says

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!" Eren yells. I look over at Bertholdt and his face is laced with concern.

So this isn't new

"Reiner... we're warriors, not soldiers" Bertholdt says. Reiner begins to panic. Reiner then collapsed from stress.

Oh... so that's what it is

"I see what's going on.. You're so overwhelmed with the stress of being both a soldier and a warrior, you couldn't pick so your mind split into two personal where the soldier does not recall the actions of the Warrior.. So I have to ask... which persona loves Y/n..? Or was what you said back there crap?" I ask.

"Stop talking" Reiner says

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING THREE YEARS AGO WHEN I TOLD YOU HOW ME AND Y/N'S MOTHER DIED?! WHEN YOU GUYS ATTACK SHIGANSHINA!!" Eren yelled.

"I really did feel bad" Bertholdt says.

"YOU BOTH ARE MURDERERS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE! YOU'RE NO LONGER HUMAN!" Eren yells

"We know... reminding us of what we've done... won't change anything..so please stop" Reiner says.

Looks like we put a dent in his mental stability

"I will kill you both in the most excruciating way possible!" Eren says.

"Shut up Eren!" I say.

~Tiny Time Skip~

Reiner picks up Y/n bridal style and Bertholdt goes to grab me and Eren when we all see a signal flare.

Oh poopoo

"Reiner who are you?" Bertholdt asks

"I'm a warrior. My mind is clear" Reiner says

"Historia's family connections with the Order of the Walls makes her a valuable asset. It will make our goal much easier if Eren isn't the coordinate we're looking for" Reiner says. I nod.

"Our time in the walls will be over once we deliver Annie and Historia" Bertholdt says.

"Once we get home, you should confess your feelings to Annie.. our lives are short... the risk is worth it" Reiner says. Reiner then hands Bertholdt Y/n and maneuvers over to Eren's branch.

"I won't fight. It's not like I can anyway" Eren says. Right after Eren begins to assault Reiner with his nubs. Reiner begins strangling Eren. Bertholdt maneuvers over to me with Y/n still in his arms.

"Um Ymir? Do you remember who you ate?" Bertholdt asks me.

"I don't remember, it must've been one of your friends.. sorry" I say

"The memory loss was the same for me and my friends" Bertholdt says. I look over to see Eren unconscious.

"How long did you wander outside the walls?" Bertholdt asks me

"60 years... 60 long years... a nightmare that would never end" I say. Reiner then grabs Y/n from Bertholdt and they both escape using their ODM gear.

"Historia should be with them" I say.

"We'll come back to get her. I don't want any confrontation with Commander Erwin" Reiner says

"I will be fed to another warrior by then. I will never be able to see her again" I say

"I'm sorry we can't get Historia" Bertholdt says

"Historia's safety is a high priority for us" Reiner says. I interfere with Bertholdt's maneuvering.

"I will take Eren and Y/n, and escape to the scouts if you don't wait for Historia" I say

"But the situation" Reiner says

"I'd risk Historia's future if I could see her one last time. Plus I'll buy you time to escape, or we could fight to the death" I say

Y/n's POV

I wake up. I look around and I see Bertholdt and Eren.

Where am I?

I attempt to sit up but I get super dizzy so I lay back down.

"Y/n? Are you alright?" Bertholdt asks.

"Could be better" I say.

"WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" Eren yells.

Ah my ears.

I cover my ears.

"Please don't yell, it seems to cause Y/n pain." Bertholdt says. Eren looks at me and his eyes widen.

"Sorry. But where are we?! And why am I tied to you?!" Eren whisper yells. I then hear Bertholdt scream a little.

I feel like I'm on fire. My head is pounding, I can barely move I'm so weak. I'm thirsty.

"Give me Eren and Y/n" I hear Mikasa say.

"Bertholdt just come out. Remember the years we trained together? And your odd sleeping positions" Jean says

"Remember when we said we'd grow old and drink together?" Connie asks

"I will kill anyone who gets in my way of rescuing Eren and Y/n" Mikasa says. I weakly mutter

"Please don't hurt them" I say.

"You guys act like we wanted to do this. What person would want to do this?! Yes we did lie to you but we truly thought of you guys as comrades. Reiner said he wanted to marry Y/n one day.. Please come find and save us afterwards.." Bertholdt says. I smile weakly at his words.

"Give me Eren and Y/n" Mikasa says.

"I can't. Our duties must be carried out" Bertholdt says.

"Are you guys willing to abandon Annie? She's been taken to Utopia District in the far north to be tortured" Armin says

"Annie must be enduring ever kind of suffering imaginable since her capture" Armin continues

"You're a spawn of the devil!" Bertholdt says. I then feel myself get grabbed.

"Y/n are you alright?" Armin asks.

He must be carrying me.

"Honestly I feel awful" I say smiling weakly
