Chapter 7

The next two days were uneventful. Bloom went to her classes while Michelle stayed in the suite. Headmistress Dowling really noticed an improvement in Bloom's control since her aunt was here. The girl could even light a single match without lighting the rest of the pile.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly until Wednesday. In the afternoon Saul Silva was bound to return and Sky and Dowling were busy preparing a plan on Wednesday morning to tell him about the presence of his soulmate at Alfea. Everything was going fine until Sky ran into Bloom outside in the gardens.

"Hey Bloom! Long time no see." "Oh, hey Sky, sorry, I've been busy hanging out with my aunt." "No worries, where is she? I'd like to meet her!" What Bloom didn't know was that Sky had an ulterior motive to want to meet her aunt. As Silva was his father figure, he had a small hope that he could soon treat Michelle as a mother figure. He was therefore really looking forward to meeting the older girl. He, however, wasn't prepared for the next words to come out of Bloom's mouth: "Aunt Michelle is packing, something happened at work while she was here so she has to cut her visit short and fix it." Sky didn't think that there was anything that could make him more nervous at that moment. Silva was scheduled to arrive only 3 hours later and he had to meet his soulmate. If he didn't and he found out Sky and ms. Dowling knew she was his soulmate and let her leave, he wouldn't be able to forgive them anytime soon.

"Oh, did you ask ms. Dowling if she could leave earlier? You know, with the Burned Ones and such. Getting to the portal isn't possible without any backup. Maybe you could wait until mr. Silva comes back so he can escort her back to California? You know what, I will ask Dowling for you. I'll be right back!" "Wait, Sky!" But he was already running towards Dowling's office. Bloom really didn't understand his odd behavior, but seeing as she was already a bit upset that her aunt had to leave earlier than planned. She decided that waiting a couple of hours wouldn't be too bad.

"I talked to Dowling. Dowling will ask Silva to escort your aunt back to California after he returns. They will leave around 3 today. Could you tell your aunt?"

While looking at the text, Bloom decided that waiting until 3 wouldn't be the end of the world. It would mean she would still have some extra time with her aunt today. While rushing back to her suite to tell her aunt, she shot a quick text back saying thanks to Sky for arranging the safe departure of her aunt. She knew her aunt would be safe with mr. Silva, he was the headmaster of the specialists for a reason.
