🌃

Taeil made his way through the massive crowd of people that was completely drunk and everyone was either making out or grinding up against each other. It was a sight that Taeil wished he didn't have to witness but he couldn't help but cringe at the thought that he might have been doing the same thing at Johnny's last party. He had no idea what had happened that entire day and he regretted all of it.

Taeil was now feeling disgusting and angry at himself for acting so irrationally over a jackass that cheated on him.

"Hey. Hey, are you okay?" Taeil managed to rip himself out of his thoughts and saw Doyoung standing in front of him with concern in his eyes. Taeil smiled and all his previous emotions were long forgotten.

"Hi Doyoung! Why are you here? Shouldn't you be studying for exams?" Taeil questioned.

"Yes, I should be but I got tired of staring at the walls in my room. I thought I'd come out and enjoy the fresh air." Doyoung smiled.

"This is fresh air to you?" Taeil scrunched up his nose as he looked at the sweaty bodies dancing around him.

"It's the perfect place to be when you need a break. Music, friends, alcohol and my soulmate." Doyoung smiled.

"No. I would rather be at my bookstore with wine, friends and movies." Taeil interjected.

"Without me?" Doyoung pouted and Taeil chuckled at the sight.

"You're my friend aren't you?" Taeil teased.

"Anything but the friendzone." Doyoung frowned as he clutched his heart.

"Well, we aren't dating and we haven't even gone out on a date so we are just friends, until it becomes official." Taeil reasoned.

"Why can't you call me your soulmate instead of a friend? Do you call me a friend in front of other people? If you do then how will they know that you've already found your soulmate and that you're off limits?" Doyoung wondered.

Taeil could hear the hint of jealousy in Doyoung's voice and he thought it was adorable that Doyoung was so worried about other people hitting on him.

"I could always just tell them that I have already found my soulmate." Taeil suggested.

Doyoung sulked for a few seconds until Taeil's laughter broke the silence between the two and at the sound of Taeil's laugh, Doyoung couldn't help but smile. Taeil threw his arm around Doyoung and started guiding him through the crowd. Doyoung just stared at Taeil's arm and back at Taeil's wide smile, he couldn't believe that he had finally found his soulmate and that they were this adorable.

"Come on, let's go have a drink. You must be super stressed with all the work and exams that are coming up." Taeil stated.

The two made their way to the counter for some drinks only to see Renjun being dragged away by Jeno and Jaemin.

"What was that about?" Taeil asked Haechan once they finally reached him. Haechan took another sip from his cup and simply shrugged his shoulders.

"They showed up, said 'we need to talk' and dragged him away." Haechan placed his cup down on the counter.

"How much have you had to drink?" Taeil asked.

"We just got here, this is my first cup." Haechan chuckled.

"Jungwoo is probably on his fifth or sixth by now." Taeil commented. Haechan bursted out into fits of laughter.

"Jungwoo is drinking? Oh, this is gonna be a fun night." Haechan smiled as he took another sip of his drink.

Doyoung just stood next to Taeil and watched him interact with the younger. Haechan noticed that Taeil had company so he did his best to leave the two alone without making it obvious.

"Renjun did drink like three cups and we all know how he is when he's drunk. Drunk Jungwoo & Drunk Renjun, never a good combination so I'm going to go make sure he stops drinking. He probably wants to get away from those two anyways." Haechan explained.

He got up off his seat and followed the direction Jeno and Jaemin had dragged Renjun off to. He left his half full cup behind, no longer wanting to drink any of it and Taeil couldn't help but be confused by the action.

"What's with the long face?" Doyoung asked.

"I don't think I have ever seen Haechan leave a glass half full, he usually drinks 3 cups in the first 5 minutes of a party." Taeil observed.

"Maybe he doesn't feel like drinking today, I mean, exams are coming up." Doyoung suggested.

"Maybe." Taeil shrugged it off since Haechan hasn't been acting weird, secretive or different.

...

"Can you let go of me?!" Renjun demanded.

Jeno and Jaemin had dragged him to the second floor of the frat house. It was less crowded and less noisy on the second floor but that was because only specific people were allowed on to the second and third floor. If you looked around the room you would see all of Johnny's closest college friends like Jaehyun, Yuta, Winwin, Kun, Mark, and others.

"Jeno! Jaemin! Is this that Renjun fellow? Your missing puzzle piece?" Yuta teased and got slapped on the arm by Winwin.

"Yup, that's him alright." Mark voiced and received glares from his best friends. He simply shrugged them off and continued the game of pool table that he was playing with Jaehyun.

Renjun attempted to run down the stairs and away from his soulmates that had been waiting for an opportunity to talk to him alone. He almost made it but before he could take one step downstairs, he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist and lift him off the ground.

"Put me down!" Renjun fumed.

Renjun closed his eyes and refused to look at all the strangers that must be staring at the scene. In a swift moment, Renjun could feel himself be lifted into the sky and placed over someone's shoulder. He opened his eyes to see himself dangling from the backside of one Jeno Lee.

Just like that he was carried away from the small crowd on the second floor and up another flight of stairs. He pounded on Jeno's back with his fists as hard as he could and tried to get free from him but it was no use. When they reached the third floor, Renjun had completely given up and was not letting himself be carried to wherever these two were taking him.

'Brain, please remind me to reject them once they're done talking.' Renjun snarled in his head.
